WE used to have a chicken thing in school with stodgy rice and i loved it - it was basically chicken mushrooms and cream i think with a bit of onion but my god i loved them (says me only 23!) We always had two options in school or a salad bar and your had to have a desert - there was plenty of fruit on offer, yoghurts, cheese and crackers or a hot pud. We rarely had chips or burgers or hotdogs or twizzlers!!!!! WE used to have the tuck shop for break times too when we could have soup (in the winter) or a carton of fruit juice nad a piece of fruit in the spring!
I use to love the puddings and always was the first one askign if there was seconds!! i can remember sitting down to one helping of treacle sponge and custard and having about 3 bowls worth on the table!!!! Those were the good old days. Kids were properly fed then not all the !!!!!! they have nowadays and id never of visited a vending machine until i started work in an office!!Time to find me again0 -
I dreamt I ate some of these last night and now I can't get em out of my mind! I haven't made these for YEARS.
So what's your foolproof recipe?? Do you put marshmallows in?? Melt marsbars instead of chocolate??? Add golden syrup?? Every single person I have ever spoke to has made these different so I would be interested to see how you do yours!!0 -
Hi shelvis,
There's an older thread on how everyone makes their cornflake buns so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the suggestions together.
