Fingers crossed that you feel ok, Valli.I am behind. On the thread, on all sorts of things, on everything, really. DH hasn’t gone out for the usual Friday night drink at the village pub. It has thrown me. He is in my way. I have cake to eat as well, especially acquired for my Friday night in front of GBSB. Not sure if he will notice if I nibble the cake quietly in the corner….I am not sharing 😈6

i feel fine - luckily, because i was refused anti viral medication but i can ‘call back if it gets worse’…erm the WHOLE POINT is to STOP me getting worse as that would likely mean a hospital admission 🙄. I shall, however, draw it to the attention of the oncology team. Actually i am much less ill than DD was and she’s fit🤣
anyhoo
WUALTD and loaded DW. Loaded WM. Changed my bed. Made banana cake. Caught up with the ironing (basically I don’t want to be ironing when it’s 🥵) wrote niece’s birthday card and posted it - postbox is just up the road and i went late thus avoiding people. Knitted some more of baby cardigan. I have 2 to knit, both pink.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. It's gonna be hot hot hot today
Glad you're coping, Valli - GWS to you and your DD xx
Fayolle, I hope you managed to enjoy your cake uninterrupted x
Happy holiday to Jazee x
Sorry your baking is not appreciated, pigpen x
DH was discharged from the horse piddle yesterday, in a mood, so I spent most of the evening keeping out of his way , on a long phonecall with my oldest goddaughter. Afterwards I carried on dealing with my admin frog to the point where I can do no more until I have received post from various places, updated Excel files and filed essential paperwork, and then the frog will finally be eaten.
I woke up this morning at silly o'clock again - I'm clearly on Summer Time, as during the winter I hibernate and can't cope on less than 8 hours' sleep - so I have been sorting 7 boxes full of coursework and resources that I no longer need. I shall recycle and bin a lot of the contents but will also take several bags of donations to the CS and scrapstore next week [fer-ling] I now have one clear shelf (which was previously piled high) in the cupboard on the landing, and maybe by the end of today there will be two of them
I mustn't forget to go to the chiropodist at 11.00 this morning. Before then, I need to move the flower pots back onto the decking and water everything while they are still in the shade. My tomato plants are doing very well, so I must also check for sideshoots. I plan to take a siesta for most of the afternoon!
Hope everyone has a good weekend xxx6 -
Good morning,
The cake is still intact, Iona…. I’m glad that DH was discharged, not so glad about the mood. Hopefully today he is in better spirits x
Sorry to interrupt everyone’s enjoyment, but I am rain dancing. It’s not a pretty sight, but I have so many overgrown and leggy plants to get into the allotment that I would dearly love a couple of days (I will settle for night rain, if that helps) of rain. Plus we are now looking after 2 lots of neighbours’ gardens, so evening watering is taking up a big chunk of my time. They have lovely gardens that I don’t want to be responsible for killing. I have severe garden jealousy, even just patio jealousy. Our patio is a liability, but DH doesn’t see it so won’t entertain the expense or even the thought.
No specific plans for today. I am not going to the allotment this morning, as it seems pointless to try to plant anything if the temperatures are going to soar. I may go this evening if I can fit all that watering in as well. I still have rhubarb jam to make - the rhubarb has been sitting in sugar since last weekend, when I also didn’t get round to it. And then there is the dressmaking. And the knitting. Oh and maybe even some flying. I did dust everywhere on Wednesday morning and literally run the vacuum cleaner around upstairs. Small win.
Right, the wm has just finished. I need a second cuppa, if anyone cares to join me.
Have a lovely day all. Keep cool 🕶️ x

Morning all xx
I'm just having breakfast and a second brew - but I'm a couple of hours late in joining you Fayolle. 😔
GWS to all the poorly flyladies and their poorly loved ones 😘
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo and hand basin plughole, sorted laundry into loads, first load is swished and pegged out, second load is swishing.
Already twot for me in the sun 🌞 But I'm happy for you sunlovers to don your bikinis and enjoy it. I think it's time to take off my socks! I put them on automatically this morning. Must be summer! Not hot enough to reach for my skirt yet though. Yes...singular. Skirt. And I don't possess a dress. Everyone at work knows it must be very hot when my legs appear.🦵🦵 😎 Sunglasses are needed to fend off the blinding whiteness of said legs.
Love to all
Rxx

I've fed the birds, put out the rubbish and recycling and pegged out the second load of washing.
There is a slight breeze from the East which is lovely and cool when it comes.

I have made sure all curtains/blinds are drawn, emptied the maiden of aired washing and put it out of sight and pegged out more laundry (bedding) and looked at the laundry basket - mainly to consider what I am washing next. I'm letting the WM air though, atm.
DW emptied, breakfast scoffed.
