It's very quiet on here today. I hope all is ok with everyone.
Just the basics done here today around the paid stuff. Also met up with friends for a cuppa which was nice.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Woke up late after a very broken night, during which I had made the decision to empty boxes and chuck out old paperwork from the landing cupboard someday soon

Glad Mr Ionafan is doing well.
Went to Body Pump.
Filled bird feeders. Didn't see the ratlings today.
Watered greenhouse.
Started a report.
Printed off Open Gardens tickets for Sunday.
Mr N and I went to 2 nurseries to get basket/container plants. Got loads......also nipped into the cafe of the 2nd one and was tempted to buy some cake to take home.....as it was closing time, they gave me the last chunk which would have been about 3 slices earlier in the day and only charged me for one!!! I have carefully cut it into 3 and only ate one when we got home.
Potted on some cucumbers.
Made up one patio pot with new plants, one still leftover from Malvern show and some Nicotiana I grew from seed.
Had a bit of an email cull.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -

Evening all.
Valli, I hope your DD is beginning to feel better and that you do too.
Another productive day today:
- woke up at 6; caught up with the news and solved Wordle while drinking a cuppa in bed
- did some admin (I'm in full agreement with Jazee - it's endless!) including sending an email asking if I need to send in formal notice of resignation from Diocesan Synod, or had my term expired anyway?
- ate some breakfast
- moved the big pots off the decking again, and then painted the decking with the contents of a very old can of decking oil which was exactly enough to finish the job. Rosie supervised. Lots of heavy lifting, ambidextrous painting and getting up and down off the kneeler stool. The decking is 10 years old and in a worse condition than I had previously thought, so I'm not going to waste money putting on a second coat of oil, when we shall have to have all the planks replaced in the autumn
- changed, ate lunch
- went to the horse piddle and sat for about an hour and a half with DH, who is considerably better but being kept in until tomorrow at the earliest as he'd had a temperature spike; also called in to see my friend in Coronary Care
- walked Rosie (by now I was very tired)
- had easy tuna pasta for tea
- unloaded DW, refilled it and WULTD the few bits that needed a hand wash
- had a lovely shower and am now in PJs
- found an old shoe box in which to pack up some tulip bulbs, to be posted to DS2
- going to watch WDYTYA, start the WM, and then fall into bed.
See you tomorrow. Please keep cool xxx

I have done the usual kitchen sluice today... then Dot flooded the bathroom so the kitchen got a second sluicing.. then I sent OH for a scrub too..My gutter has been replaced so now we are waiting for rain to come and test it. A tile was missing and has also been replaced. The mortgage company rang and they have put the product transfer in place. 2 years fixed rate and I am sure the interest rates will be lower then so I can get a much better deal.
My mother got a new to her woof yesterday.. looks like a former puppy machine but she is quite sweet.. Winnie.
We have Squeaks EHCP meeting in the morning at 9:30.. I think everything we need is in there already but I am sure we will come up with more between us.
DW run.. it needs doing again but I can guarantee OH won't do it while the kettle boils like I do.. he has scooped trays though.
I had a bit of a crazy moment and have fished all my knitting projects out of my corner and put the completed ones in the drawer and the almost finished projects have been stacked up so I can work though them and hopefully get some of them finished. There are 2 blankets, 5 cardigans, a poncho, a scarf, 3 octopus's, 7 pairs of mittens and a hat.. I have some more in started but not finished projects but I will look at those next.
Lionel has had his egg trial today and it appears he is no longer anaphylactic so that's a good thing.. DD1 bought him cake and pancakes and yorkshire puddings and biscuits and all sorts of egg filled delights.. he however does not like boiled eggs! lol
I have 2 V!nted sales to sort and have collected.. and I just started season 3 of little house on the prairie.. I LOVE it.
Love and hugs to all and get well vibes to those in need.. Sleep well.. and there are GF twinks in the tin, Twinkle is not wanting them, clearly my baking skills lave a lot to be desired.. thankfully the others are nibbling their way through them.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -

I woke at 5.00, drank my first cuppa (now on my second) and hung out the washing at 5.30 - cue slightly confused Rosie! She is now curled up asleep again, under the piano stool, and I am about to tackle the papers laid out on the spare bed.6
