2 year sim from RWG

I went for the two-year deal with RWG, having one of the early SIMs in another phone.However, I have no idea what went wrong, but it took two failed attempts for a SIM to arrive, over a month. Maybe both lost in the post, PO strikes the timeRWG were helpful & sent fresh SIMs without hesitation or quibbleThird time lucky, and set up without problems. Like OP I am not a big user, so the alliances are ample for meNumerus non sum1

RWG doesn't support WiFi calling, does it?savergrant said:Hi, i think the deal is 2gb pm.
To be honest I managed pretty well with their 750mb plan for 6 months. At the moment my phone is struggling to find my home WiFi signal, that is the only reason I am using more.
The plan is also available with eu roaming for £45.0 -
It was on their website that Wi Fi calling is coming soon.0

I'm using more mobile data than usual because my phone can't connect to home WiFi when I am in the bedroom or in the conservatory. I think it is just my phone as oh seems to manage and I used to before I reluctantly upgraded to this latest hand-me-up.etienneg said:

Sadly "coming soon" is a bit of a mantra with rwg. My old boss used to say there were two great lies "the cheque's in the post" was one and the other I am much too prudish to repeat.bjbyorkshire said:It was on their website that Wi Fi calling is coming soon.0 -
All that is exactly why I prefer to get the sim first. then hand over the money. I have ordered spare sims to give to family which have never arrived but I just ordered another lot, no problem.Farway said:I went for the two-year deal with RWG, having one of the early SIMs in another phone.However, I have no idea what went wrong, but it took two failed attempts for a SIM to arrive, over a month. Hello, I thought I would just update the original thread. My 50/50/250 free monthly allowance updated at 00:45 on 2nd June. I was told by a customer service person at RWG to expect it to renew on the 1st of every month so not far out.
I haven't yet decided re the taking a second sim with RWG and porting my number from Asda. I was contemplating the 2 year offer but I think what I have with the free minutes will probably be ok for me unless I do something and loose some of them. I still have £2:50 left of credit with RWG unless I decide to buy some credit and also ha e £5:15 left with Asda so for now it seems to be enough.
Can I ask another question here:
We have an app on our phones to set and unset a burglar alarm. This works on on our wi fi if we are in the house but I can’t see a way to check how much, if any data allowance it uses if it has to use the phone’s data. How does it decide which of my.2 sims to use? Does an app use data? I think it does.
Thanks0 -
The app will use a pretty miniscule amount of mobile data from whichever SIM you have active data connected, selectable in settings.
Evolution, not revolution1 -
On a Samsung you choose which sim is connected for data in;
Settings
Connections
Sim manager
Mobile data
You can also see which apps are using data by;
Settings
Connections
Data usage
Mobile data usage (under sim1 and sim 2)
But I would agree your alarm is unlikely to eat up much if your data.1
