https://quantum-ai-trading.com/thankyou/ is a scam. Registered, a few minutes later got calls. Already decided it was a scam and said I wasn't interested. Caller argued with me, I hang up, blocked. This happened a few times - maybe the 4th time I just kept  them on playing the tv loud - they were really angry.  verious numbers - [Removed by Forum Team]. Found the name and Martin Lewis and what looked like  a Daily Mirror article. Anyone I should report this to?

So if you haven't actually used them, how can you conclude it is a scam?

Definitely looks like a scam and the behaviour the OP describes is reminiscent of would-be scammers.

Thanks. The site I was on is listed there. And yes, manic behaviour, and the caller was manic, eg shouting something about I should be a man and other things I ignored, using multiple numbers, does suggest I might have a problem with their customer sevice.😀
  • Why is it that people enter their details into a website that's not authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority?

Hopefully people are gradually learning to do a bit of research before entering their details into any website. The goal would obviously be to steer well clear and not have them repeatedly calling you and annoying you, as the OP has had to suffer. It seems there are still many who approach the internet with an attitude of trust, where they should be wary of any website they visit in the first instance, and never divulge personal information to any stranger on the internet.
In this case it is not clear that "#Quantum AI" would be carrying on any regulated activity. The footer states it is just a name used to attract custom to some unnamed service providers. If what they say on the website is to be believed, they are just in the business of providing market insights and referrals to third party brokers, for which they wouldn't need to be authorised. In reality, they are just trying to steal the money of unsuspecting victims, and may well serve up the names of genuine brokers to create an air of legitimacy to their offering, should any of their victims wish to check the FCA register. Perhaps hiding behind the front of an advertising campaign is the latest tactic to avoid being rumbled. There are a number of offerings in the industry which don't themselves have FCA authorisation, but offer concierge services to those that do. This does make it harder for consumers to identify scams.

On the other hand, there are probably other people like me who think it is a scam and want to see what they do next. I was hoping I could be a nuisance to them. I remember phone calls supposedly from Microsoft saying I'd be arrested if I didn't download something - I had fun wasting their time - maybe I saved someone else from being scammed by wasting their time. At the very least I was a pain to them.

Trouble is that you may well end up on a 'suckers list' and get more and more unsolicited calls.

Possibly. I hardly get any calls anyway so I can deal. I agree others might have problems.
