Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
So far I have done dailies, paid stuff, admin, hoovered through and walked Poppet. It has rained here and is really cool so I'm not going to do any gardening, again.
Just had an early lunch. Need to go in one of the cupboards of doom to see if I can find a new battery for my watch.Spend less now, work less later.8 -

Evening all!
Back from the paid stuff.
Didn't do too much yesterday evening after I cooked dinner which was a new recipe I tried to use up some of the things that have either been in the fridge or freezer too long. Last night was was creamy prawn and lemon linguine, and tonight was salmon and asparagus quiche but made with filo pastry. I have no idea how many times I swept the kitchen tonight the filo was everywhere.
Flying has been limited to the dailies and trying to ensure that DD and DH are putting stuff away.
Great news on the house Natty. Yorkshirelass I am so with you on the evening sofa, I did really well last week when the others were away but I dont feel like doing it when they are watching TV or playing on games consoles Grrr....Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
Hi all
Full on 9 hour day at the paid stuff. Came home to find the dog had been sick on our bed, so that meant a full strip down and everything in the washing machine. Our electric blanket is out on the line.
Workout done, kitchen tidied. Day off tomorrow to visit DS2 and take him our for lunch. Hoping to do a museum and maybe a boat trip, really looking forward to that.8 -
Wonderful news Natty!!!
Thanks buggalugs. It has been very chilly here today and the resulting pain in my shoulder, plus a combination of backache, keeping track of active 11- and 10yo granddaughters, a needy dog and a disappearing husband have worn me out. I am already tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle.
As a break from healthy eating, and because i was just too tired to do anything else, i cooked ready-made pizzas for tea - but at least I emptied the DW.7 -
Morning all. Enjoy your day out YSL.
I'm up early to shower and walk the dog before the paid stuff as later I am meeting friends, so probably another day with minimal flying.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Thursday ~ pick a room... LIVING ROOM for me
Level One
Declutter and vacuum/mop the floor
Clear window sills
Level Two
Dust and deweb
Scrub down kitchen units/table
Tidy up a cupboard/drawer or other storage vessel
Level Three
Clean filters and door seals on relevant appliances
Wipe doors and skirtings and paintwork
Binbag dance
Dusted all round, used crevice tool on sofas (next time I am buying 2 x 3 seaters. I have never owned a 3 piece suite - alsways a pair of sofas. This is pair 3, and needs to be replaced). Moved sofas, cleaned windows (yukky flies have been in and left evidence thereon) and used leather wipes on sofas.
I have also removed the old sky cable and two spiders, one of which was a celaar spider in the understairs cupboard. And, considering I felt crocked earlier after my new tablet I have done well.
GRAND ANNOUNCEMENT - I HAVE NOT ONLY FINISHED MY SLEEVE BUT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE THE PATTERN 'GOING UP' AS I DID THE RAGLAN! WOOTY WOOTY WOOT WOOT.
It was also much quicker as I didn't keep resorting to reading the pattern. I feel like a proper knitter now lol The pattern said 'use your skills' - well I have acquired new skills.
