Also thanks to Ben500 who's details I wrote down and took with me. I paid nothing, not a penny! Went through the self scan with my gammons and it took off the full amount!

What started out for me as a close shave ended up a real result. Popped in for a paper, carrots and some cheese and picked up a smoked gammon joint. Went over to the gift card till and the lad had to ask another till to weigh my carrots, he picked up that I'd been undercharged on the gammon (free), so spoke to customer services and sent me over to them. CS called her manager who said to charge me what had come up on the till :T . Being cheeky, I asked if I could go and get an unsmoked joint, even looked after my bag while I went and got it. This one came up as free too:j . Asked her manager (again) and she said I could have that one too. I've just got in and noticed that they didn't charge me for the carrots either :rotfl:

Gammon is the new turkey :T

Thanks for all the details Ben500, but it just confirmed what I already knew - this glitch is not working in all Tescos.
I tried again today twice, even though I swore I wouldn't waste my time again, and the stores were manic - I picked up the joints exactly as you quoted, both joints over £20 - and just got £5 off each. So I er forgot my credit card again, and again.....
So for those of you like me who cannot get the cheap, or free gammon - you are not going mad, nor getting it wrong. Your stores, like mine, must be just more on the ball than the lucky ones - unfortunately :cool:

Worked for me in Dukes Green. Not many left there tho. Works on self serve tills too. Just need to make sure they are the gammons as described by OP and Ben500.
