RWG top up question

Hello,  I have RWG as my back up sim with Asda mobile as my main sim.  I accidentally didn’t end a call while on holiday and it ran on for 1hour 30 mins using up most of my £5:00 monthly allowance leaving me with half of my original £5:00.  Question is….

When does the next monthly £5 begin?  Is it always the 1st of the month or is it the date on which you first joined RWG.  I now have £2:25 left of my original £5.  So how do I get that back to £5:00?  If I just do a £5:00 bundle top up I think that it will use from that rather than my free £5:00.  Hope I have made clear what I mean here.

Help much appreciated, thanks.

Answered on the website - https://www.rwgmobile.wales/faqs/ - "Our bundles are standard monthly allowances which usually run from the 1st of each month and renew on the 1st of each month (although some customers may have different renewal dates) "

I read that thanks but it isn’t  a set in stone FAQ is it?  I will await the 1st of June and hope to see the £5:00 then.

Do you understand the part of my question re the getting my original £5:00 restored?  If I buy a £5:00 bundle will that only last for one month and will my calls be taken from that rather than the new monthly allowance?  I have tried to phone RWG but so far not had an answer.
    Thanks

    Im with rwg.
Any credit you add stops as credit and does not expire after a month,or any time. The credit only goes down if you buy a bundle,or if you have a free monthly allowance like me,use the free allowance before the month is up,then they take the money off ur credit, untill the free allowance or bundle renews again

Ok, I understand most of that.  How do I put credit on rather than a bundle?  I have only £2:50 left of my original £5:00 credit as I left a call running and it went on using my monthly allowance and half of my original £5:00.  I now only have £2:25 left  on my phone until my £5:00 allowance starts again hopefully on 1st June.

Sorry to appear to be dense but the difference between the credit and the bundle is not clear.
    Thanks

Just buy a NOW mobile voucher from any paypoint store or any tesco,or of course use a debit card. When you put the number of the voucher on ur rwg sim, that stops as.credit on your account. If you dont buy a bundle you will keep the credit.
Ps. You have to ask for a NOW mobile voucher, because if you ask for a rwg voucher the paypoint system wont recognise it

I believe Poundland do them too, I'm sure I've seen the Now mobile logo on the self service tills.

Gotcha, many thanks for the comprehensive answer.  I will try not to forget to end a call and run up a blooming bill in future.  I rang a friend who at the same time was ringing me.  I answered her call without ending my call so it ran on for 1 hour and 30 minutes.  Not sure how it eventually ended but it used a lot of my credit and my monthly amount so I was mad with myself.

Hopefully this thread will be useful for other non tech savvy oldies like me.
    Thanks

Me again, sorry…. I rarely go into our town so I have just looked at the RWG web page, scrolled down through all the various bundles till I got to the PAYG option, Put Credit on £5:00, £10:00 etc.  Is that the option I need?  If I buy £5:00 PAYG I will then keep the £5:00 plus the £2:25 I still have left from my original £5:00 and then when 1st June arrives I should get the £5:00 renewed for a month and my calls and texts will be taken from there leaving me £7:25 to use anytime if I do go over in the future.  I think I’ve got it.

    Thanks

Yes exactly right. If you do not buy a bundle, any calls and texts will come out of the £7.50 credit,at a rate of 5p a min 5p a text and 1p per unit of data. You only need to add more credit when your credit reaches £0

Many thanks, all now clear and I will do it asap.  To the poor to average Joe blogs it isn’t always as easy to understand clear instructions as some websites print it, clear and concise instructions such as you have provided make it so much less scary especially for an oldie.  Thanks again.
