I messaged them a couple of weeks back - never even had the decency to reply, even with their cut & paste one I've seen. From the above article "the majority said it was fair to reward those who both banked and saved or borrowed".I have a 35+ year old current account with them, I have 2 savings accounts on the go with them (used to be 3), I have had ISA's with them in the past, I have had 2 mortgages & numerous loans with them in the past - all paid off in full with zero defaults, I have had insurance with them in the past - I was NOT eligible for their fair share!I voted against their remuneration package & election/re-election as they have a FAR shorter relationship with the Nationwide than I do.0

With only 530,000 or so Votes cast on each resolution last year perhaps its time for some of us to use our Vote and not throw it in the Bin !

N.B. (Amended from Forum Rules): You must investigate, and check several times, before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my content, as nothing I post is advice, rather it is personal opinion and is solely for discussion purposes. I research before my posts, and I never intend to share anything that is misleading, misinforming, or out of date, but don't rely on everything you read. Some of the information changes quickly, is my own opinion or may be incorrect. Verify anything you read before acting on it to protect yourself because you are responsible for any action you consequently make... DYOR, YMMV etc.1 -

I suppose one option would possibly be to unsubscribe then resubscribe to marketing emails and/or savings watch and see if that does anything, though I doubt it should have much of an impact but may be worth a shot, I've seen stranger things work with some of the other financial institutions I've used.
If that doesn't work then possibly look at complaining if you want to but if worst comes to the worst I am more than happy to send you a screenshot of the newsletters if you're particularly eager to read them in the meantime though.1 -

Apparently, only 21% of members received the Fairer Share bonus. How can this be deemed fair and equitable? Especially when Nationwide is own by the members as a MUTUAL organisation? As stated in a previous post, many of the disenfranchised members have had a longer relationship with Nationwide than the majority of the board.0 -

If you are unhappy then feel free to make a formal complaint, email the CEO Debbie Crosbie (debbie.crosbie@nationwide.co.uk) and/or vote rebelliously at the AGM next month. If you want to camp out on Debbie's front lawn you'll probably find a few members who will subsidise your food and beer costs.

Not and/or, complaining will achieve absolutely nothing, voting appropriately however can.0
