UKPC small claims - please help

I have received a small claims court letter regarding the Parking Tickets from UKPC. I parked in their car park (next to the office I went for a job interview) in Slough in 2019. Those are the only parking bays I found near that office and there are no entry signs saying it is not. So I parked there and went up to the interview for about 45mins and when I arrived to my car there is a ticket on the windscreen.

I contacted to the interviewer (after appeal time) and they suggested they could not do anything. I have no proof as it was a phone call. After that I kept ignoring the letter from UKPC and now I have a small claim letter.

The letter was issued on 05/05/23 and I have

Sorry posted it by mistake. Please see following -

I have received the letter from Court for small clamin which was issued on 05/05/23. I then acknowledged it on 14/05/23. Is next stage would be prepare for defence?

I have asked for pictures and proofs from UKPC and got the images with edited time stamps.

I am worried that I may not have enough evidence to stand my ground.

If you check the sticky/pinned threads on the forum, you will find one marked NEWBIES please read these first, where you will find a wealth of information but also you will find the Template Defence thread.  One of our regulars @KeithP will be along to give you some deadlines for submission of your defence and some links to the items I have mentioned.

    Hello and welcome.

With a Claim Issue Date of 5th May, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 7th June 2023 to file your Defence.

That's over two weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

This is an example of the current template defence to use in a UKPC/DCB Legal claim:

Here is a link that might help ( if it's DCB Legal ) 31 pages and 136 ( and counting ) cases where they have discontinued as they know they won't win in court....

    Hi All,

I have drafted my defence as below, any comments will be greatly appreciated -

    2. It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper and driver of the vehicle.

    3. On Tuesday 26th of March 2019 (11:00am) defendant was attending a job interview for a position in Project Centre which is located in Fourth Floor, The Urban Building, 3-9 Albert Street, Slough, SL1 2BE. Defendant arrived the location 15 minutes before and parked the car in parking bay. There is an entry sign indicating the parking location for Urban Building at the entrance and defendant assumed that those four numbers of parking bays are allocated for visitors of Urban Building. Defendant confirmed this with reception inside if visitors are allowed to park in those parking bays which the receptionist confirmed “Yes”.

After receiving the parking ticket, defendant contacted the interview company by phone, however defendant did not received any update from them.

    No need for this:

"After receiving the parking ticket, defendant contacted the interview company by phone, however defendant did not received any update from them".

    And change this as shown:

and the Defendant concluded from the sparse signage that those four numbers of parking bays are allocated for visitors of Urban Building.

If you are using the example linked by @B789 then all is good, as it has the extra paragraphs 5-11 about DCBLEGAL's woeful POC.

Then go back to the TEMPLATE DEFENCE thread for the first 12 steps, where to email the signed/dated defence PDF and what to expect.
