Morning.
Flying yesterday was a little weeding. Today I have done shredding.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
I agree with the previous comments Narco, better be a good friend than fly. Valli hope the meds are ok and improve things for you, they don’t sound nice.
I wasn’t up quite so early this morning but managed to put a load of washing in and give Doogie a quick toilet walk before work. Washing out in TD when I came back at lunch as weather not so great today although better now.Work colleague gave me several bags of mini party rings which DGS and I love so desperately trying to maintain my healthy eating.Missing DH and DD a lot today as hate being home alone so need to kick my own butt. Not sure on dinner tonight but need to take Doogie for a longer walk first and see what’s on todays list.
ETA Struggled tonight so walked doog, have eaten, S/S kitchen, emptied TD and folded stuff which is still in a pile on the chest at the end of the bed. This room is the worst in the house, it’s a great space but never got finished since the builders started it and never finished in 2003. There has never been the money to get the cupboards and wardrobes put in and there has never been a carpet on the floor. Now that I’m free of debt I don’t want to start that loop again so it’s never been the great room it should have been. Mostly I’m ok with it but tonight I’m not. I’ve fixed a cuppa and will watch some rubbish TV before early lights out. Tomorrow will be better, sorry for ny sad ramble.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
the meds are what they are. i like grapefruit so must remember not to have that, and i can’t have St. john’s Wort either, though i wouldn’t take anything herbal without checking whether it’s contra indicated first anyway. i have been given a box of herbal tea but am not risking it.
so i have loaded DW and WM, been to collect swimming costumes in the hope that one fits me and i can then join the outswim cancer group on Monday afternoons.
WUALTD, kitchen wiped down. watched Tina Turner live from Wembley in 2000. Ended with my favourite Nutbush. what a legacy…and what a survivor.

Thanks for your kind comments.
Today I had a bit of a lazy start but got on quite well, supplementing tasks with what always works well for me i.e. every time I leave a room, I have to have improved it in 3 ways:
- So I left the lounge having cleared the coffee table, wiped the coffee table and thrown out some dead flowers.
- I went into the kitchen several times so emptied the compost bin, put all utensils etc on drainer back in their homes, took a handbag upstairs which had been hanging on the door, put the 'scrunchy plastic' recycling bag by the door to take with me to town.
- put away 2 towels drying over the landing banisters
- put away quite a few clothes in bedroom, finished emptying bag from weekend away, plugged kindle in to charge.
Also wrote quite a lot of a report.
Did drumming lesson, dropping scrunchy plastic in the recycle bin on my way.
Did Pilates.
Rang Mum having done more research on a few days away for us. Booked it.
Planted out runner beans.
Put 4 more tomatoes in a grow bag, 2 cucumbers in a large pot. Still loads to plant out.
Started letter to friend as it's her birthday and I need to post her card tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -

Insane day as usual.. hopefully a bit of a rest tomorrow so I can get some laundry sorted and the DW on and do Twinkles cookies. She really enjoyed the little sprinkle ones for her pack up.. I almost feel accomplished.
hoping to finish the main green part of the poncho tomorrow.. 14 rows more to do.

Today is a much better day.
Had some complexities at work today but also had my PDR and received great feedback from my manager which left me feeling great. DH is also back which has stumped me a bit now
Doogie was walked before work again and for a bit longer and I still came home at lunchtime to 2 puddles, one on a pad, one on the carpet.
Took a quote from Valli and put a note on the side in the dining room which usually becomes a dumping ground saying 'Dont put it down, put it away' and it worked. DH came in with a box of carp and took it straight upstairs to where it lives usually - success (but it wont last long).
Still to decide what to have for tea but I need to see if he brought anything back that needs eating then will give DD's room (collecting from Heathrow 6am Monday) and the spare room a hoover and dust. Her's occasionally gets tidied, but not cleaned! Will also call DS to see what they are up to the weekend as would love to see DGS at some point, and maybe get him some jobs done to fill his money boxes that we got for his birthdayMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -

Morning all. I've just stopped for a cuppa.
So far today:
- finance check
- phonecall with DS1, who was out on the big hill , but the signal kept breaking up, so he'll ring me back this afternoon
- showered and dressed
- S&S'd bathroom
- breakfast
- S&S'd kitchen
- WMx2 hung out
- pots moved around on decking
- conversation with neighbour who is having all his fencing replaced at enormous expense (along our side it's currently at an angle like that of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and even worse along his other neighbours' boundaries)
- so far 1/4 of decking brushed and 2 years' worth of moss scrubbed off that area (the rest is not as bad)
- bedding plants watered: they are unlikely to get planted out today, as I am...
- ...thinking about using up the old tin of decking oil on the bare wood.
Meanwhile Rosie has enjoyed sunbathing. We've both come in now because it's too hot in the direct sun.
I bought enough food yesterday to last us until the middle of the week, and the gym is closed on Monday, so I think we're set up for the long weekendI am expecting to take K and the girls out one day next week.
Hope everyone is able to enjoy the sunshine xxx

A quick good afternoon from me.
Busy day so far. Drove DH to big town to pick up his new to him car. Back home to prep for 8 people, maybe 10, coming for lunch tomorrow. DH’s grand gesture to include a bbq. We all know what that means - I prep, he does a bit of last minute bbq flipping, and then is exhausted by the sheer responsibility of doing all the cooking, so I get to clear up…or is that just how it works here?I think I have prepped as much as I can now, so I am going to pop out into the garden. It may involve just sitting, despite the amount of jobs that need doing.
Hugs to all x6 -
