Those cookies look like a success Pigpen.
Well I sort of dragged myself through today with very little enthusiasm. I have only had a few odd days holiday from the paid stuff since Christmas and maybe I need a week off and a complete reset.
Pilates done first thing, doggie blankets washed and hung out. Paid stuff 8.30am to 3pm, then met DS1 to go and look at a possible new car with him (which was no good). Home to finish off the casserole DH has started in the SC, hoover downstairs, tidy the kitchen, and make the bed.
Tomorrow I am in the office again but leaving early to go and look at another car (I know very little about cars but I can pretend). We need to mealplan for the rest of the week. Oh and have boiled some eggs that a neighbour gave me, so its egg sandwiches tomorrow.

Evening
I flew!
Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Level 1
Open some windows (not just in the kitchen!) for some fresh air Door was open a fair bit that will count
Check fruit bowl - add to washing up if necessary!
Wash up, dry up and put away (or remove all pots to DW)
Clear sides and wipe down - wipe small appliances and caddies etc. Don't forget the splashbacks or tiles! Is it time the tea/coffee/sugar caddies were washed out?
Empty bin and clean it out too - put it outside to dry in the sunshine, if you can. DH has just done this as its bin day tomorrow
Clear and clean sink and accessories - don't forget those out-of-sight places - under plugs and under draining racks - and shine those taps - or clean them!
Glug some bleach down the plugholes.
Clean/polish table - wipe mats/change cloth - don't forget the legs and places where sticky fingers can reach.
Clean chairs/stools/high chairs - and don't forget legs and rails!
Throw away your manky dish cloth or sponge and replace with a new one! Put out a new hand towel and a new tea towel too
Clean cruet, salt and pepper, wipe any sauce bottles that are used on the table
Level 2
Wipe down all cupboard and drawer fronts inside and out, not forgetting handles and tops and bottom as well as fronts!
Clean hob
Clean microwave
Sort fridge and wipe seals; weave stuff that needs using up into your meal plan; update shopping list as appropriate, wash shelves etc and check running temperature
Dust dining area/room
Descale kettle if needed - newish kettle so not needed
Clean WM , TD and DW filters; remove WM detergent drawer and wash it out.
Wipe inside of washer drawer and DW door paying particular attention to manky crevices
Level 3
Choose a drawer, shelf or cupboard for special attention. Empty, clean out, replace what is needed or useful and fling what is unused and/or out of date Found one of the big tubs under the sink was full of water so asked DH if he wanted to sort it out - No! So I did, although still not sure where exactly the leak is but he will sort it when its wet again
Sweep/mop/vacuum floor
Clean windows in both rooms. You could also wipe frames & sills inside and out! One room done and blind slats wiped, other window still to be done but blind is wiped. Need to work out how to get to it as the blind is fixed at the bottom
EXTRAS
HHI Not required
S&S bathroom
Give your make up brushes some tlc, gently wash them in soapy water or use shampoo, rinse them well and pop them outside to dry in the breeze. I think they would freeze outside today, the wind has been cold.
I'm back to the paid stuff tomorrow but DH is away around 10 am until Friday and as DD is also away I think I will go into the office for the mornings then WFH in the afternoons so that poor doogie doesn't have her legs crossed for too long, or the alternative aims for the puppy pad and misses requiring a scrub of the carpet!
Your cookies look great Pigpen, I know GF baking is a pain. Doves flour used to have a great recipe on the pack for GF Brownies that were delicious. If your DD likes them, I'll have to look it out for you.

I may need to pull my finger out and list the remainder of that bag on V!nted..
Still waiting for green wool so knitting the llama patch for the front..

Morning all. Your cookies look delicious Piggers.
Well, sorry to go on but I'm still not feeling better. I'm resisting the urge to go back to bed and have just done essential admin. Poppet has hurt her back so needs complete rest for at least two weeks but silly dog jumped on to the sofa so is now shaking. I've given her painkillers, fortunately she's really easy to get meds into.
Right, I'll start with basics.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Jazee, rest to recuperate is ordered. Basics and everything else can wait, except maybe cuddles with poor Poppet.
I am just back from 3 hours allotment flying 😇. I didn’t finish what I wanted to (I am perfectly capable of setting unrealistic targets for outdoor, as well as indoor, flying), but I had a time target. Coffee now being slurped along with a couple of custard creams if anyone fancies one, before DH scoffs the lot.DH has had to go in to the office, and is out this evening for a leaving do. I have an hour or so to get some flying in before I go to big town to get my hair cut. I am taking DD’s car to give it a good run. Hopefully it won’t be too long before she is back to do it herself, although that idea just fills me with dread and “what ifs”.
Bathrooms are first on my list, especially with DH out of the way. Then I’ll see how I go.
Have a good day all5 -
Evening!
Well I'm home alone for the next few days (apart from doogie)
Am going into the office mornings then coming back to let pooch out and working from home in the afternoon. A little too late today as she had done both end on the top hallway which is usually lined with puppy pads and she is pretty good using them. Today she decided to wee on the runner (although I keep puppy pads underneath it) so some cleaning to be done. Once finished took her out for a walk and back for a cuppa.
DD not answering facetime so am a bit naffed.
Trying to remain disciplined with my diet as usually when alone I just have a slice of toast. Tonight I have made a salad with some southern fried chicken fillets and sat munching on that. I need to look online to see where I can find info on my NHS pension pot as had a letter come today which I have zero understanding of so will do that then crack on with the list.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -

Gradually working my way down the huge list. Complete:
- paid parking fine (mis-read months on the apparently seasonal seafront parking at Hastings...........)
- finished professional conference webinars before they expire
- finished and sent a report. Started another.
- sent card to a friend who has just had an operation
- researched hols with my Mum
- sponsored friend doing a long walk
- rang breast screening place as 3 days after I'd made a booking for June, I had a text saying I'd missed the appointment. I was right; message wrong.
- did gym swim
- various emails to and from friends we are meeting next week
- went to Mr A
- still frantically planting out seedlings/plants etc
- done some (but nowhere near enough) drum practice.
- updated availability on church rota
- kept up with washing, washing up, dailies. Whole room efforts are pending.
- sorted out query over an Am&zon payment.
I just need to sort out paperwork for tomorrow's assessment and maybe write a bit more of a report, then I'm off to bed.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all. It was cloudier and much cooler here yesterday, but the sun is back with us this morning and the forecast is for another pleasantly warm and sunny day
More GWS wishes to Jazee and Poppet xx
Your flying progress is very impressive, kazmeister x Yours too, Narc0 x and Fayolle x
Hope Twinkle is enjoying her biscuits x
I've enjoyed my two social days this week. Coffee and ginger cake with friend L on Monday was followed by an excellent fish and chips lunch with friend A yesterday. Neither menu choice did my waistline very much good, but worrying about that is not a reason to stop going out with friends
Between all the usual dog walks/gym visits/flying I have been attempting to dig up all the tulips out of the big pots and replace them with summer bedding. I should only work on it for less than an hour at a time because it causes a huge amount of pain in my shoulder (which is not obvious at the time because I am enjoying myself), but yesterday evening I must have overdone things badly as I woke up in agony at 4.30 this morning. Thankfully J the gardener is coming this afternoon, so he can help me move pots round and clean the decking. I can also see some enormous clumps of green alkanet in the back border which need to be dug out - it's supposed to grow in damp, shady places but somehow thrives in our dry sandy soil
Today's plan:
- fire off a couple of emails whilst drinking my second cuppa of the day and waiting for painkillers to kick in
- 20 min light gardening before breakfast
- hot shower
- put sausages in the SC for tea
- gym (I don't do arm or shoulder exercises here, apart from gentle movements in the warm-up and cool-down)
- help J plant up the pots
- the dog walker will be taking Rosie out at some point
- make some phonecalls
See you later xxx

Good morning all,
Sunny here too. We seem to have gone from late winter to early summer in a blink if the eye.
After I had my hair cut yesterday afternoon, I cleaned the bathrooms (there is a very good reason why DD and I refuse to use the downstairs toilet *shudder*), dusted our bedroom and the LR, and ran the vacuum cleaner around the bedroom and downstairs. Not a perfect job, but better is good enough. I wrote out the shopping list for the weekend and updated my Mr M delivery, as DH has invited 6 people round to eat. He did talk about it first, but now the idea seems like a lot of work.
Today I have a day off work, as time of in lieu, rather than getting paid. I need to make the most of it, before we set off to take DD out for an early dinner in the uni city. The plan is to get up to the allotment shortly, where our clay on chalk soil is drying out by the minute and starting to crack. It’s a race against the clock, and pointless trying to plant anything atm - missed that teeny tiny window of opportunity for the moment.
Kazmeister - the only part of Monday’s level 1 that I have done is the hand towel and dishcloth. So between us we have completed the level, but I feel that maybe you put a lot more effort in than I did 🤣.
Right, I need to get my glad rags on, as my mum used to say.7
