I didn't think I wanted a bigger phone but, I have to say, the text is much easier to read on messages and things.

    Newcad & Chris, thanks.
As to size - with respect you are not a female with a new bag that nicely takes their current phone easily accessible ;)

Oh I've learned a lot. Interesting to know that my phone and text will keep working. Gives me time when life seems to be flinging changes left right and centre.
I've kept the sim bits for sizes and my provider, 1p is really responsive and quick so that's not so much a problem.

I have a 2G phone that, yes, I bought from new from a virgin store. Latest trendy one when phones were the biz to be as small as possible and flip phones. I was so on trend! And working.
Trouble is the sims don't fit it now. They really know how to keep you buying!

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Hi. Your network can send you a new sim for free which will snap out to whichever size your phone takes. Or you could take the opportunity to shop around for a new deal. Are you on the best deal for your usage?

You can still buy brand new 2G only phones for about £20-£30, again Argos has some.
But as your current Galaxy mini will still work on 2G do you need another 2G phone?

The time is coming though when 2G will be switched off.
So it is worth investigating 4G phones and budgeting for when you will need to get one. (You're gonna need a bigger handbag). :D
PS. A 5G phone isn't really necessary as yet, and unless you are in a city will probably only currently connect to 4G anyway.

Just got a smaller one Newcad.
As you get older you need either more pockets (male) or a larger handbag. So much more to tend to your deteriortating bits :/

I've now been given time to look for another. I'll try and stay focused but with the world gone pear shaped so much to do to try and keep on track.
I wonder if those jobs on small islands are still going.

You can pick up an iPhone SE(2016) for under £50... It's actually slightly smaller than your current device
