TalkTalk: Now £37.16 a month. Better options, or just threaten to leave?

  • Also, the DNS propagation takes 2-3 days with TalkTalk, so when I set up new websites, it takes an age before it shows the host in my browser.
    Are you self-hosting websites?

Not sure why you say DNS propagation takes 2-3 days, if you own the domain you can set the TTL to whatever you want.

Moreover, you should purchase a static IP address if you are hosting websites from your residential internet.

For your original questions, there are much better deals out there, I get 1 gig up/down for £25/month with BRSK and pay another £5 for a static IP for my self hosted websites.

I'm on a rolling contract with TalkTalk broadband. The renewal quote online is £29 - still a rip-off.

Speed: 38 Mbps, which for what I do is fine.

Has anybody been with TalkTalk and moved to a much better deal?
Or if I say I want to leave, are they likely to offer me something nearer £20-25?

Note: Virgin Media isn't available on our new build so not an option to move to them.

TT refused to downgrade me to this one from Full Fibre 150, hence why I jumped ship

I'll try this, but sounds like I'll need to find an alternative supplier.
