TalkTalk: Now £37.16 a month. Better options, or just threaten to leave?

I'm on a rolling contract with TalkTalk broadband. The renewal quote online is £29 - still a rip-off.
Speed: 38 Mbps, which for what I do is fine.
Has anybody been with TalkTalk and moved to a much better deal?
Or if I say I want to leave, are they likely to offer me something nearer £20-25?
Note: Virgin Media isn't available on our new build so not an option to move to them.

I tried to get a better deal with TalkTalk for full fibre when my contract was coming to an end. They offered me the same speed for a slightly higher amount, but would not let me downgrade to the cheaper deal. Apparently once you're with them, you can never downgrade to a cheaper offer - which honestly sounds ridiculous. The call agent agreed (he was lovely, but didn't seem as though he had many options) and so I gave notice and left.
I'd been with them for over 2 years, but they don't seem that interested in retaining customers. I've moved to Vodaphone - my options are limited for FTTP, but it seems fine so far£12k in 25 #14 £7,865.60/£18k 24 #14 £15,653.11/£18k 23 #14 £17,195.80/£18k 22 #20 £23,024.86/£23k1 -

I've done a BB compare and it's actually coming up as Vodafone as the best.Does the connect drop a lot, or is it rare? What speed do you get?I'm seeing £25.00 for 67mb speed, 24 month contract.0 -
I'm on Full Fibre 100 for £28pm - I went with the offer through MSE and will be getting a £130 Tesco voucher in 3 months ish. Guaranteed download is 50mbps and upload 18mbps
Just tested and I'm currently getting 30 download 18 upload. Which is perfectly fine for me, though I will keep an eye on it as it is lower than guaranteed
I'm only 2 weeks in so we'll see how it goes, but no issues so far. I work from home so use it all day£12k in 25 #14 £7,865.60/£18k 24 #14 £15,653.11/£18k 23 #14 £17,195.80/£18k 22 #20 £23,024.86/£23k1 -

Yes, I work from home too. I just randomly looked at the email from TalkTalk and couldn't believe it had increased so much.
One question: Does your IP address change each time you reset the router?
Sometimes my IP which is given randomly from TalkTalk is on blacklists, so I have to keep resetting my router.
Also, the DNS propagation takes 2-3 days with TalkTalk, so when I set up new websites, it takes an age before it shows the host in my browser.

A quick Google suggests it does, but I'd need to make sure anyway.

Getting away from TT was the best thing i ever did and i paid to get away.Do know someone local with TT thats got basic FTTC1 your on for £19 p/m, thinks he is on FTTP.
Most of these broadband checkers only list who pays, the ISP i chose doesnt show up on any sites, far cheaper, far better service and has excellent customer service you will not get from any biggy having tried nearly all.
£30 per month for this

Talktalk are horrendous. Unfortunately where I live they were the only option for years so I have to put up with their atrocious customer services. They have tried to put up the monthly fee from £25.70 to £39.99 but there are other providers now so I've been able to dump them.
