It's been a while since Zopa increased their rates. Do you think it will happen soon?

In all probability, yes, but when.............???1 -
I m happy enough on their 31 days boost at 3.45 % and won t be moving at the moment which makes me think they won t be in a hurry to increase their rates.
31 days is not exactly easy access but If I m desperate i can wait a few days to access my money.

Ill start moving mine as my pots expire if they've not increased. Got 2 weeks until the first one.SAC2334 said:I m happy enough on their 31 days boost at 3.45 % and won t be moving at the moment which makes me think they won t be in a hurry to increase their rates.

Even Chase will be paying 3.30% in 10 days time on an instant access account that offers DDs and unlimited payes, with an interest and cashback-paying current account alongside.housebuyer143 said:It's been a while since Zopa increased their rates. Do you think it will happen soon?
So Zopa will have to do better than 3.35% for easy access, and probably quite soon. By how much will depend on whether they think they should attach more importance to market share or to margins.

I don't really want to move it especially if they then increase it. I have an instant access base tracker account with Skipton as well, and I feel like if they haven't increased the rates by the time they apply the base rate increase I'll have to move it. New instant access will be 3.6%.SAC2334 said:I m happy enough on their 31 days boost at 3.45 % and won t be moving at the moment which makes me think they won t be in a hurry to increase their rates.

They must be losing customers deposit but I wonder at what point is their limit.0 -
My crystal ball says it will happen soon, but the ball is sceptical about the increase putting Zopa's access pots in the lead. If they do then Chip will probably increase theirs a couple of hours later.housebuyer143 said:It's been a while since Zopa increased their rates. Do you think it will happen soon?1 -
Really thought it may have happened today. I did like Zopa but have become bored of them now, with the removal of the pots top ups there's not much going for them now to others. They currently seem more interested in plugging their banking wins than passing on the interest rates rises to their customers. Their twitter page is just ridiculous and amateur.1

I like Zopa. I'm more for a professional approach instead of being part of the Circus that is raising the interest rates by 0.1% every day to top the table.0

'Taking a free tip from an anonymous bloke on a chat forum' looks like the perfect recipe for a disaster. Mostly on this and other forums to make a good laugh. I make my own mistakes with my money: always.Thumbs_Up said:Take a free tip from a anonymous bloke on a chat forum. Open up some more savings accounts and move your money.
