I haven't personally got this account yet but "Starling" have a "Settle Up" feature which allows deposits via debit card...

Even mentions paying yourself, like it knows you are gonna use it for Round Ups... Max £250 a day

(Currently being mentioned/talked about in the Regular Saver thread)

Many thanks for the information. Apologies for not updating the first posts sooner, I've been away since Monday so this is the first time I've checked the forum since then. I haven't got to regular savers thread yet so will likely edit the first posts again later with new information.

You can get your own settle up link and pay yourself via starling.

The link will look like this once all set up:

Starling also has a refer a friend offer on for "a free individual National Trust day pass."

Just a bit of a heads up. It appears plum have stopped offering one off DDs, see other thread. They still seem to be offering their weekly DDs as usual though.

I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.
  • HMRC:

    Direct debit: £1 minimum

    Multiple monthly DDs: Yes

    Direct debit date: Your choice

    Management: Online or app

Remarks: You may link multiple accounts to HMRC and set up one off DDs too.

Can someone using this expand on it? Is it easy to link the accounts and switch between them? This sounds a bit like what we had been doing with Plum until they stopped the DDs, except the £1 would be going to HMRC rather than us.
    Many thanks.

I've never actually used this myself but @datz gave a useful summary of this DD on page 2 of this thread:

I believe it is no longer possible to add money to a Monzo account by debit card

(unless you do it at a PayPoint, in which case Monzo charges £1 for the deposit, and has limits on how often you can do it).

    What makes you say that?

Because funding my account by debit card is not an option on the app.
