Everyone wins, except just one in a hundred here.

Hi all - just wanted to update you all.
So just after beginning to get slightly confident that this was all behind me (I even drove past the Visitor Center last week without my heart racing) I received a Debt Collection letter this morning! Damn you PE ✊
I know to keep but ignore it, but it's annoying as I has really hoped they might have let it slide.1 -
Who sent the debt collector letter? It won't be ParkingEye!1

It's from DCBL0

Ah, sorry, it's: DCB Ltd

Once PE push a case to DCBL, they are not confident they could win this on their own - and they are well capable of winning (and frequently do win) cases on their own. I've never seen any case, once passed to DCBL, returned to PE for further progression. I don't think you'll hear anything further direct from PE.History more than suggests that should you hold your nerve, follow all the upcoming process requirements, this will ultimately end in a win for you, via a discontinuation from DCB Legal who will become involved once DCB Limited find they can't prise any money from your wallet.Have a read of the first couple of posts on the following thread to view the stages once DCB Legal get in on the act, and some other random posts within the thread to see the same pattern emerge, to eventually arrive at a discontinuation .... and a win for the motorist. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi all. Just received a first contact from DCB Legal requesting I pay up or else.
This is them warning me that if I don't pay the DCBL bayliff's £170 they "may send a formal letter of claim". So I'm not on action stations requiring a defence yet... but I guess that's coming.
And just when I was beginning to hope they'd drop it.
Gah! I hate ParkingEye.0 -
Its rare for them to drop it in the pre court stage, especially as they have over 5.5 years to chase it and harass the alleged debtor
Wait for the Letter of Claim from the legal company to arrive2
