So the DQ form is here...
    No it isn't.
That is just as predicted in the checklist you were once following....
And as @Coupon-mad wrote on your thread earlier this week...
Your DQ will not arrive for maybe 2 months. It will be quiet for longer than October. Sit tight.
You beat me to it....    :p

I had just opened the post and sat down with a cuppa and came on here to vent my spleen before reading it... it is in fact just the notification and DQ from 'the other side'.
Still, it made me go back to the guide thread and start reading through about the next stage, so not all bad.

False alarm, back to the waiting game.

  • And then today, Having taken more than 7 days to reach me - gotta love the great British postal service...  there was the letter from those bottom feeders DCB Legal informing me their client wishes to proceed to court. UNLESS, of course, I wished to settle in which case I had seven days to call them. So the DQ form is here...

Here we go again with the rubbish from DCBL... IT REALLY IS RUBBISH, THEY THINK YOU ARE A MUG and want to avoid court.

Truth is, when they want to deal, it means they don't to go to to court, for a spanking when you can claim your costs

All DCBL CLAIMS ARE VERY SUSPECT as they do not comply with with the court procedure as seen with current threads on here, how stupid can they be

Exactly....   this has really got me fired up again.    I am self-employed and charge for my time. In addition to having to do my work out on the ground, then reports, and my own business admin I am having to divert precious time into following up this BS.   My time, at fairly standard hourly rate, that has gone into reading, typing filing, already exceeds what they are hoping to get from me.
The whole thing is a farce and a complete abuse of the court system.

Totally understand you are very busy but if you have time this may be a consideration (at least the forum is free) for you:-

Just the Christmas gift I wanted....

my N180 has arrived and surprisingly, given the utterly dismal state of the postal system in my area, it only took a day to reach me. They want in back to them by 18.12.2023. I will refer back to the guide that have been working through thus far...

Seems easy and straight forward enough....  the next stage is a bit more of a faff, but at least there is more time then.

Make sure you send it back by email (same address that you used for defence) and send a copy to claimant. Advice on filling in N180 is inthe NEWBIE sticky including the"new" question about "being heard on papers"

    Popping back in here.....

Nothing much to update - waiting game still.

I missed a call from DCB Legal a few weeks ago which I assume was a suggestion from them to just pay up and save myself all this hassle.

And last week I did receive a standard court letter informing me that it would be my local court, rather than 'theirs'.

One point I have thought of...  this whole debacle stems from double dipping/ANPR fault.  I was working with a colleague and we moved back and forth between two private car parks.  All this I can show via text/SMS, work related messages etc.

BUT - the other car park we used (which car spent more time in, and didn't get a PCN),  would they still have a record of my entries/exits on their system?  Worth a FOI Access Request/SAR or something of that sort.   Would be a nice irony if could use the data from another PPC to 'stick it to' a different one.

They might do. As long as you don't yet have a hearing date or deadline for your WS it's worth asking (not FOI, that's only for official bodies).
