Re-number it.  You want it to be easy for a Judge to read it all, with no massively long paragraphs.

And add 1.25 line-spacing before saving your signed doc as a PDF.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have re-numbered, and adjusted the spacing....   will keep the Word.doc version anyway in case need to amend/re-do..

Just before it becomes pdf..   all the later paragraphs in the template going on about Beavis and the signage - leave all of them in, even though they may not be strictly, directly relevant to my case?

I have until the 22nd I think - have it noted on calendar but its around then - leave it til nearer the time to email across?
It's unlikely but my SAR stuff may be back by then which means a) I would have some further info b) would mean might have to remove that para about missing POC due to them not adhering to the extensions, which they themselves granted. [The SAR 'deadline' - which they have said they will adhere to gives them til the 26th].

Your SAR evidence is not necessary for your defence. It will become more relevant when you come to produce your WS.

Righto..... I may aswell email this across now then?  Or is there any benefit to 'taking it to the wire' so to speak?

There's no benefit to leaving it to the last minute. However, you may want to get a few more responses to your draft on here before you commit.
  • Only a brief update - defence was emailed in, got the auto-reply acknowledgement back short time after.

Then yesterday letter from the Courts acknowledging the receipt and saying the claimant will also have received my defence and they have 28 days to decided whether to proceed or not.  So its a "watch this space" until late October.

In meantime I have the SAR reply back from Highview...   haven't looked through it yet, I don't imagine there is anything in there that will make a huge difference but I will have a gander later today just for idle curiosity.

You would have been expecting that if you were following the 12 steps in the template defence thread.  SAR info/data might be useful for you at witness statement stage.

    Now go read this:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6473149/major-judgement-where-judge-strike-out-the-claim-form/p1

That will help kill off this claim at WS stage in 2024.  Do not forget that judgment. You will be using it.

Your DQ will not arrive for maybe 2 months. It will be quiet for longer than October. Sit tight.

  • I had secretly begun to think this might have been done and dusted.. surely they cant be stupid enough to continue.

And then today, Having taken more than 7 days to reach me - gotta love the great British postal service...  there was the letter from those bottom feeders DCB Legal informing me their client wishes to proceed to court. UNLESS, of course, I wished to settle in which case I had seven days to call them. So the DQ form is here...

Now obviously I have no plans to settle with these leaches but if I had, the letter hadn't arrived until after seven days.

I am in the middle of an immensely busy spell with work and really dont need this utter BS from these parasites... its almost worth paying up, not that I am going to. They have !!!!!! me off with this endless !!!!!!!

    No it isn't.
That is just as predicted in the checklist you were once following....
And as @Coupon-mad wrote on your thread earlier this week...
