It's always worth getting on site expect advice if you're unsure. Some upper floor stud partitions can be supporting the floor below for example.
On the plans shown here, the OP thinks it's a stud wall, but if it was a non load bearing block wall it's removal could make the wall it's returning at the corner less stable.
A hollow sound can also be dot and dab.1 -
It is utterly insane to risk £1000s of damage and making your home dangerous, rather than pay couple of hundred for actual (and insured) advice.
You don't have nearly enough information for even an educated guess, and no offense intended, your guess is not educated. Mine would be and I still wouldn't guess.1
