Morning turtles
Spend day yesterday, I went to an event in London that started right at dinner time so I decided to buy something easy to eat on the way there. £10 spent. Also spent on train fare, the train on the way home was a little delayed so I have submitted a delay repay claim this morning as I think I'm eligible for a very small refund - but it all helps! Also made it to the gym yesterday and had to pop to my local aquatic shop as the filter for my aquarium packed up.
Today should be a NSD, not at work today so just plan to go to the gym and also have a small shift at my part-time job later this evening.8 -
Hi turtles,
NSD yesterday finally, but I’ve lost count!!
have eaten my frog for today (none yest) and been to the gym both days for short workouts.
Yesterday was bf’s birthday- I got him a personalised apron and loads of his favorite chocolate…had pizza for dinner again (at least it was an oven one this time and I couldn’t say no to the birthday boy) will have to stop acting like we’re still on our hols at some point! At least no booze consumed. Managed to get outside to eat my lunch in the park and do some grounding!!Grateful for sunshine, for wanting to go to the gym, for managing to eat a frogStudent loan £5655

I had another appointment today at yet another hospital. This one is really difficult to get to so the Boy drove all the way from GF to drop me off. The appointment took 13 minutes and it took Himself and I 2 hours to get home by public transport. Hope I don't have to go there again.
So, I'm afraid I have very few achievements today. Feeling so tired I don't know if I'll even get very far with my book tonight.
Oh well, tomorrow's another day. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
If you are too tired to even lie and read @Toni'sfriend then listen to your body and let there be no talk of 'not doing enough'. It will all still be there to do tomorrow. Sadly, the washing up does not do itself when you are not well. Attending these appointments gets you all het up, and worried, even though you are trying not to be, but still, 'what if, what if' etc etc etc.Be kind to yourself, and the book will still be there tomorrow as well. I was at the hospital myself this morning, and I am a total basketcase right now
and will probably remain so until I get my scan on Monday and the results of today.
I prescribe tea and scones for all! Hurrah!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

You are so right F0xh0les. I hope you get good news. Scones are in the freezer but there are lots of chocolate biscuits in the larder. I'll save you some. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7

Oooh, I would do something criminal for a chocolate biscuit right now, that is why there are none in the house. DH says my criminal tendencies do not need encouragement, however, my May vouchers for Mr T's Emporium of Food just plopped into my email account, so I have a free £5 to spend on frivolity tomorrow. ho ho ho!

Hugs Thrifty, f0xh0les and anyone else struggling. I love the Slow Horses series.
On Monday I was all dressed up for my optician's appointment and at 10.30 I was ill again. Cleaned up (not as bad as the day before but had to take my dress off), went downstairs for my phone (only brought the minimum up with me the day before), had to look the optician's number up online and I cancelled the appointment.
Yesterday I fell asleep 4 times after taking my morning pills (bit of a pattern as have been waking very early and then drifted off part way through my morning routine) and it was generally a slow day. My new pills arrived - they're called Dapa (nurse must have said dapper not rapper). The full name is horrible, I can see why they call it dapa. Read the map sized sheet of instructions - short version 'one wrong move and you're dead', subtext 'if anything goes wrong you can't sue us because it's all your fault'. I will have to reread it at some point, if only to highlight symptoms I already have so I know which might be attributable to the new pills. Oh, and things are likely to get worse in the short term until the new pills settle down with the old ones - I sort of think the higher dosage of the old ones is causing the 'unpleasantness' (pills being very efficient and purging my body of anything it doesn't need).
More sleep in the afternoon - that's one of the symptoms for one of the 3 problems the new pill will help with. Feeling okay this morning but had a taxi to my appointment and one home (not found my purse yet, found the bag with glasses and loose change in this morning). Physio was lovely, examined my feet and lower legs extensively - problems in my instep and alongside my shin bone up to my knee (all one muscle).
He outlined my options and I've gone with exercises to do at home.(in addition to the resting, strapping up, wearing the proper shoes, exercise etc all of which I'm doing the right things - gold star for me). There was a 10-12 week wait for physio at the infirmary, 2 weeks if I went somewhere half way across the borough - they could work with me for longer but can't do another 3 months in limbo. The third option is steroid injections but debatable whether they'd give me another so soon after the hip one (not a good idea).
Bought a sandwich and a teacake at the cafe (breakfast was a bit hit and miss) and summoned the taxi. Rested on the couch for a while, ate my sandwich and then came upstairs. Had a long nap this afternoon. I have water and fruit, need to go and get something more substantial from down stairs. Tomorrow is another day. Grateful for the physiotherapist, the little cafe and taxi drivers, my bed, afternoon naps (anytime naps really) good books.8 -
I saw this and thought of you all (and a few other posters on different threads too). We are pretty amazing turtles x11
