cohl123 said:Unhelpful - you literally have to tick the box to proceed with the appeal ???Yes - and the 3rd post of the NEWBIES thread tells everyone which box to tick. I thought from your question, that "which box to tick" was what you needed to know. That specific post explains it all.
I was very much trying to help you.
I didn't understand why a poster would need to come off this forum for how to put in a POPLA appeal. My point was, don't believe what a scammer (or POPLA) say you should do.
I worry that it looks to us that you are placing your faith in what we would call 'biased' instructions published by POPLA, who work for the BPA and are funded by a "rogue" bunch of PPC "outrageous scam bloodsuckers" (that's an MP's phrase, spoken in Parliament in 2018).
They're not really/wholly there to assist consumers (we'd observe that the BPA's friends/colleagues at POPLA merely pay lip service to that) and POPLA are certainly not considered by MPs to be independent from the BPA.
All you need to know about putting in a POPLA appeal is in the 3rd post of the NEWBIES thread.
I've literally read the third post in the newbies thread which is linked to several times above ?I don't think we've linked it anywhere?
I'm wondering if you are reading the right post. What do you mean is "linked to several times above"?
The NEWBIES thread is pinned as a sticky thread, at the top of this board and the third post of it is all about POPLA stage. That advice (that I wrote specially for this stage) includes which box to tick, and why.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
