Preferring a bath shower instead of separates

Am I alone in preferring to have a bath with a really good shower placed above the taps of the bath?
I have a fixed glass screen, several inches wide, tap end of the bath, then a curtain covering the full length and width of the bath, allowing me all that space to move around and less cleaning/upkeep than a separate shower cubicle.

Because of space I've always had a shower over the bath. However I'd love a big shower as well as a bath but in that case money is the issue because it would be a large house.I have a small shower in ensuite, great in summer after the beach. And another option I may be going for is a hand held shower over the bath. Sandy feet, muddy feet. Much easier to swill off.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I don't like small shower cubicles with lots of moving parts but I do love a wet room with clean lines. I've managed to build a shower with three tiled sides and no glass in our house so I didn't even have to worry about water marks on the glass. For me, that's perfection. Life is too short for water marks! If I didn't have space I'd much rather have a bath with a proper shower over it than just one or the other. You can get a happy compromise.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I prefer it. I rarely have showers as I prefer baths ( I mainly use the shower for washing the dog ) so it is much more convenient to have it over the bath than having a seperate shower1

I think my bath area, gives me more room to move about in than a small cubicle.
It is easier to clean too.

Stayed in a hotel "room" with two baths... one a generous size, the other a spa bath that could easily fit 8 plus a shower that I couldn't reach the sides with both arms out stretched. Would love at least two of those at home but isnt going to happen in central London.0 -
If there's room just for one, then yes, a shower Iver the bath is better than just a shower. If there's room, I definitely prefer separate. I like a bath that is a 'center piece' and not encased with a screen/curtain. Fwiw I prefer a shower curtain over a screen though.£2699 credit card (£3848 01.02.23)

We have a walk-in, it's very large and airy and a compromise on a wet room (not something I wanted). But we have a bath also although rarely used. We do have a very large bathroom though and if it was small I would prefer a shower, but never a pokey cubicle type, needs to be something you can actually move around in.0

There is nothing worse than tiny glass cubicles where you get in, bend over and stick your backside onto a freezing cold glass pane !!!

I prefer shower cubicle. I never felt I had much room with the width of a bath (my shower cubicle is now wider than a bath).I always found the the shower screens that go over a bath seem to leak in the corner.I would also seem to splash water beyond the shower screen and over the edge of the bath. With a cubicle my kids can have showers and I'm not fretting about them splashing water all over the floor. My old screen was also fitted a bit tight which made it a pain to open to clean the bath.So yes, I much prefer cubicle.0

I've been considering sacking off a screen when we do our wetroom en suite and instead going for a shower curtain. Everyone tells me I'm crazy but... high quality shower curtain will take up so much less room, and to clean it just needs slinging in the wash once a month.3
