I'm not sure what is considered cash back or rewards.......I get a bit from Santander & a bit from Barclays blue rewards, but that's only because I happen to have those accounts.

I have never gone out of my way to consider any account because of its rewards.....only open it because the interest rate is attractive.

The best pay out was when I converted my AIr Miles into Nectar points.....that gave me a reward of £915 which is being used for my grocery shopping in Sainsburys....but I assume that doesnt count ?

Depends how you earnt those Avios points ;)

For the Halifax rewards, is it the actual transaction date or the transaction cleared date that counts please?

Wondering if I made a payment today, if this would count for may. Thanks

Cleared. V likely to count for May today but why risk it? Just wait until Monday if possible.
Thanks, I thought that’d be the case. I’m passing by Leeds BS today, so I think I’ll deposit into easy access to move across online on Tuesday - to be honest, it’s just because I can’t be bothered to go again next week given I’m passing by today 😂. I’ll give it a try 🤞🏼
If I were you I'd deposit the money by debit card today. If they are classed as April's rewards, great, you've an extra £5 cashback per account. If they're classed as May's rewards you'll see on the rewards tracker within the next week that they'll have counted for May so will have saved yourself a job for next month.

I don't think @ForumUser7 wants it to count for April tho?

Interesting to learn that Leeds BS accept in person debit card deposits.

@bridlington1 @willps I’ve already fulfilled the April requirement - only got one of these accounts, but I plan to open 2 more in May. I’ve done £500 for now, and will see what happens.

@willps it depends what kind of account you have with them - mine is an Access Saver opened in the branch. I was also able to deposit into a Home deposit saver and RS opened in Branch. IIRC they cannot accept the deposits for online accounts, so it might be worth checking before making a special trip

It worked! My tracker only just updated to show May, but it has a green tick next to everything

I average 1,000 Avios points from my Barclaycard Avios CC (£0 monthly fee) per month

I average 500 Avios points from my BA Prepaid Mastercard (first 6 months fee free then £2.99pm - so cancelling when fee starts as will outweigh avios points advantage)

Approximately £8-9pm from Pockit Pre-Paid Debit card on fuel at Sainsburys Fuel Station (3% cashback - but cashier only not P.A.P)

Not much else currently, once mortgage sorted I will look in to further cashback avenues as mentioned on here :)
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing

I tend to make most of my “banking income” from interest rates, although I gain around 2,000 Virgin Points a month through my Virgin Atlantic Credit Card and a little back from Nationwide recently for the 5% cashback.

I also use Airtime Rewards, which isn’t technically through a bank, but does provide some extra.

I use my Chase account for cashback and average £7pm (£35 total earned Nov-22 to April 23)
I have the Amazon shopper panel app and earn £5pm for scanning 10 receipts, approx £1pm for completing surveys and now £2.00 for ADS monitoring. so £8-10pm depending on how  many surveys they send. this is paid to my amazon gift card balance
I use the Asda rewards app and made £30 since End of Feb.
I managed to earn £20 cashback on my Virgin Money account a few months back.
I used topcashback to buy my car insurance and earned £38 but it's not paid out yet.

I’m tempted to open the NatWest Premier Rewards as well to benefit from another £8 per month and another 6% regular saver
If you qualify for Premier Rewards it's a good account. I've recently been upgraded which has doubled the amount of cashback I earn compared to the standard version. You can also get the Rewards Credit Card without a fee. The nice thing about that is you earn 1% cashback at supermarkets (0.25% everywhere else). The supermarket offer is good because it's a permanent offer, not time-limited. I know better deals are available elsewhere but this is nice and simple for my weekly shop.
I was able to open the NatWest version as well so that’s another £8/month and additional regular saver setup!

Is there any reason why not apply for Chase  for 1% cashback for all purchases indefinitely ? It is very easy to get the account and to qualify.

    Credit card vs debit card
No upper cashback limit vs £15 max monthly cashback with Chase
Long term (decade-ish now) earning rate vs obvious grab for market share

    Not really a good comparison.
