I dont get cashback with mobile and broadband bill , just get it with normal purchases0

I now pay most things on a 0% credit card and stooze the cash, as that earns me more than 1%. I avoid using direct debits wherever possible, except as a backup. Paying by card is more lucrative.For those concerned that it is difficult, it really isn't. Some providers allow a continuous payment authority to be set up that works very similarly to direct debits. For others I can pre-load my account, or pay my bill at the same time as submitting a meter reading. Council Tax is the only one I've had to set a monthly reminder to pay manually each month (but always put this one on credit card due to the Chase exception).

The response I got back was the merchant used an ineligible MCC code. Didn’t elaborate what that code was and promptly closed the chat.0 -
