Thanks for the samknows link... very useful but unfortunately I still can't get free Broadband.
I've now been with Talktalk for 17/18month contract so am doing a bit of research to see if I can get it cheaper. I have been paying £30.49 for the Talktalk3 and broadband package. I'm waiting for 10am so I can call Talktalk to discuss it with them and see what they want to offer me to stay with them. I see they do have a slightly cheaper package for £26.39.
I've also been looking at Tiscali this morning - I think that would cost me £22.87. I'm not interested in having any free calls as I don't use the phone that much - or at least you can find pre-dial codes to make calls cheaper.
Any other suggestions?0 -
Okay so Talktalk Lucy has said that they could drop the Talktalk3 and broadband package down to £20.49 for 6months (which would be like having free broadband). The contract would be for 12 months, so it could go back up to £30.49 for the remaining 6months. Cost for the year £305.88.
Have just called Tiscali - they say that I would have to go back to BT before they could consider me for any package as BT own the line. Can anyone tell me how much this is going to cost me or how long it would take. My contract with Talktalk ends on 02/01/2008. Or should I ask this question in a different thread?0 -
£9.95 per month as in Free Broadband Forever aint bad is it?, The £11 per month line rental added on,would have to be paid whoever I was with no doubt. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have just checked on this site and have discovered that I should have been getting free broadband from the 29-10-07.
Do you only get it for free if you phone them up and ask for it, as they are still charging me £15 per month.
If you swap to the free one do you then have to renew your contract with them as I am well out of contract and don't really want to sign up to another one.
Thanks.0 -

They say:Broadband that's totally free
Then came broadband. Other phone companies realised that people were using their phone line to access the internet so they started charging people twice for the same line. Not fair, we said. So we have just one charge for the line and give our customers broadband for free. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
My parents just signed up for Talk Talk and they pay £18pm for unlimited worldwide calls and free broadband.
It's £10.50 for LR and the rest is for Talk Talk Unlimited Call Package (which is evening and weekends upto 1hr worldwide) with free broadband.
If you're on Talk Talk and paying more than £20pm something is wrong0
