Congratulations to piggers and DD ❤
Welcome to this crazy world little man xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme6 -
Oh Pigpen he is absolutely gorgeous, much love to you all x
30 hours paid stuff in 3 days, had a strop at my line manager because I know we are stupidly busy but could just do with a smidgen more support from higher up.
Laptop is about to die, it feels like me I think. Dont know where my charger has gone.7 -
Morning
Congratulations Piggers on the new grandbaby, he is gorgeous. Well done to your daughter.
I have not done any flying as Wednesday evening I ended up working (paid stuff unpaid!) as I wanted to do some additional research in advance of my meetings yesterday. Thursday I had a heavy day so last night just needed to chill.
The kitchen and dining room have been kept up to flylady standard both days and DD and DH are both assisting with the after dinner clearing so a bonus.
Today is more paid stuff and then hopefully I can play catch up over the weekend when the only thing planned is a dog groom, although at some point I need to arrange with the insurance company the repair of my iPad which will potentially require a trip to an app1e store which are around 40 miles away 🤬..
Enjoy your day
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
Morning all.
Congrats to all concerned in Piggers land. What a shame about the tree Ionafan.
I achieved a far bit yesterday and had a walk with friends.
Still managing to talk myself out of gardening and not sure what I'll do today except make a cake.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Nacro Happy belated birthday, hope you had a good day xHoovering done again, I'll be so glad when the moult / shedding is done...............WM x 1 done, out on whirly, now dry brought in, just as the rain started.Bins doneWalk done.
phone rings, NND, help Kaz, come now, hangs up, I go racing round next door, slipper and all, open door to find NND under a new bookcase, she was trying to unpack on her own, the dog thinking it is a game, is trying to climb on the packaging of the book case (her OH is at work), so I get this thing off her, get her up right, send the dog outside, then together we get the packaging off, and place the book case where she wants it, told her off for trying to unpack such a large heavy item on her own. I've told her to ring again if she needs more help

Awww, Piggers, he is gorgeous. And I certainly don’t go mushy about babies. Well done to your DD x
Belated happy birthday, Narc0 🎂. I hope you had a lovely day. Am I right that you have a special weekend planned too? x
That is so sad about the tree, Iona. I hate seeing trees come down, especially old ones.
Oh Kaz, what a good job you were there. But the dog made me smile!
I have no right to be on here, no flying done. Horrible week at work. I really wasn’t this much of a pest when I was an auditor, back in the day. Ah well. DD goes back to uni this weekend. I don’t feel as if I have had much time with her at all.7 -
Morning all.The sun is out here, the birds are singing, my NND is behaving herself,
what on earth made her try to move such a big heavy item is beyond me, it seems when it was delivered 2 fit blokes carried it in and they were muttering about how heavy it was, she was even told by her husband not to move it and he would help when he got home!
But I knew straight away some thing was wrong, as she always whatsapp me, this time she rang.

Good morning all xx
It must be weekend because I'm here 😊. Ommmmmmm.
I've had a(nother) challenging week at the paid stuff. I worked it out this week: when I started ( ten years ago) there were three full time admin and one Service. There are now 5 part time Admin adding up to 2 FTE and we provide Admin for 10 services. The last two hours on a Friday every week I'm on my own covering the whole county. That's planned! Next week. As my colleague is taking Annual Leave that she's perfectly entitled to I'll be on my own on Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday too. Of course she'll be on her own when I take my leave. And now they are saying that we are overstaffed! Really?
Anyhoo that's the reason I don't fly during the week. I'm mentally drained. So I come home, look at the mounting dust, think Nah. CBA. And slump watching mindless telly and eating. Popcorn is a new favourite. Cream cakes. Ice cream. Ice cream with chocolate in. I did eat a sandwich with tomato and lettuce in it one evening- my poor body probably thought it was a mistake 😕. Stress. Sugar. Tired. Stress. Sugar. Tired. Tis a veritable merry-go-round....and I need to get off.
I know all the theory. Hell I could probably write the book. Chapter 1. Recognising that there is a problem 🤣
I'm up, made my bed, and supped two brews. My car is parked on the road and not on the drive as there was a flyer through the door saying that at some unspecified time in the near future they are going to re-tarmac the pavement and access in and out of the drive will not be possible for a short period of time...like 3 hours! I don't suppose they work on weekends but I'm meeting L this afternoon and I don't want my car stuck on the drive. The flyer did say not to park on the road!!! So my drive will be blocked. They're tarmacking the pavement and I'm not supposed to park on the road???? Am I missing something here? Oh. Maybe they think I can disapparate my car for a while. Mumble. Mutter.
And. Lo and behold. Because I've ignored all the nice letters asking me to have a smart meter fitted, the energy company have sent me a letter saying my leccy meter is out of date and they need to replace it. Guess what with! Seriously. (Google says tis bullying and lies.) Oh and they'll keep sending me reminders until I have it done. That's nice: I like shredding 😜
And so I turn to you lovely ladies, who are all gamely battling private wars of your own, and seek sanctuary and sanity. ❤
I think a third brew is required, and breakfast, and a day of planning and lists of ACHIEVABLE steps towards the future I crave. Flying wise, slinky wise*, finance wise. Life wise.
*if DS proposes to GF and there's a wedding on the horizon I don't want to be the fat frump avoiding the photos. And dieing inside.
Right. Now I've bored you all to tears I'll shut up. Kettle's on. Anyone fancy a brew?

Uh oh, Round is on her 3rd cuppa. Reinforces that it must have been quite a week…😘.
I now have permission to post, as I have found the duster and gamely flicked it about the place 😊. 2 loads of washing done and on the line. It is chilly but there is a breeze so out it went. I have plugged the vacuum cleaner in. Well, everyone has to start somewhere, don’t they…?
DH is supposed to have gone to the tip with the broken mower. 3 hours later and he is still taking it apart to put odds and ends in the shed for Justin. Justin loves our shed. And our garage. And our loft 😩. DH has an appointment with a small takeaway in town to pick up a “DD imminent returning to uni” lunch treat. It closes soon. DH is still on the driveway. Patience is a virtue that I seem to own less and less as I get older…mumbles off to rediscover how the vacuum cleaner works….
