Google 'clear wood preserver'0

You paid £5k for the summerhouse and they don't even supply it all protected with a single coat of preservative or sealer?
I don't think that pic looks 'yellowy-orange' at all. It will weather back once it gets some sun and UV on it anyway. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

What am I missing?
so you wouldn't expect a clear coat of varnish to turn wood yellow?
I certainly would expect the colour of wood to change upon the application of a clear varnish, the exact effect will vary by wood type as many strengthen/darken the natural wood colour so yelllow woods become yellower, red woods redder etc but its not always the case.
Just like buying paint for a wall I'd normally test the varnish first on a scrap piece and decide if I like it before covering the whole thing. Dried colours are often different to the wet varnish/paint etc3
