    Does anyone not have adhd?
Looking at the list of symptoms on the NHS I would think most people tick a few boxes.

    Inattentiveness (difficulty concentrating and focusing)

The main signs of inattentiveness are:

    • having a short attention span and being easily distracted
    • making careless mistakes – for example, in schoolwork
    • appearing forgetful or losing things
    • being unable to stick to tasks that are tedious or time-consuming
    • appearing to be unable to listen to or carry out instructions
    • constantly changing activity or task
    • having difficulty organising tasks

    Hyperactivity and impulsiveness

The main signs of hyperactivity and impulsiveness are:

    • being unable to sit still, especially in calm or quiet surroundings
    • constantly fidgeting
    • being unable to concentrate on tasks
    • excessive physical movement
    • excessive talking
    • being unable to wait their turn
    • acting without thinking
    • interrupting conversations
    • little or no sense of danger

So you have no written proof of the debt?  If he is willing to sign a statement of the debt then fine, but that still doesn't oblige him to pay anything. You can make him promise whatever you like, but ultimately the only way to put pressure on is to sue him via small claims process, if it's less than £10k. But even a CCJ doesn't mean he will pay it, unless you take enforcement action. Probably futile if he can't pay and has no seizable assets.
