Hi Ceridwen

The answer to that question - ie where my signature quote is from:
Its by John O'Donoghue (author of "Anam Cara") - a former Catholic priest, who died a few days ago aged 53.
I spotted it in the 8 Jan entry in the following blog:
www.somersetseasons.blogspot.com/
and the rest of the quote is there.
(thinks.....this could be where I put back an entry I had on my signature......"drawing water of inspiration from many springs" - which is my own personal little thing - as that is precisely what I do personally - you will have recognised previously things from Quakerism, Buddhism and others).
(I havent mentioned this blog - because its not a moneysaver one at all. I have a "personal" collection of "beautiful" blogs I just like personally.)0 -
My life will be simplified when I move into my new flat. I won't have a mother running around moving everything I own. I just have to put something on my bed and it's gone. Then she denies moving it:mad: I'm 24 years old and often have to ask where my underwear is:rolleyes: It's driving me mad!!!
I'll also sort through all my belongings and get rid of what I no longer want or need after the move.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
I read this on a blog. Someone had a wood burning stove which cost her nothing to run as she had an arrangement with a builders yard to take offcuts of wood.
We couldn't have a wood burning stove here anyway, but we hope we can have one in our new house - whnever that is! Does anyone out there do something similar? Seems like a plan to me.0 -

You beat me too it-I saw that post on the blog last night and was trying to figure out how to do links to put it on here! I love that blog and would definately recomend checking it out & not only for the yurt lovers amongst us as she has some great ideas about sinplicity in general!0 -
I liked the thought of everyone having their own bowl and cutlery - good way for kids to be responsible about wahsing up etc - you don't eat till you've cleaned your bowl!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0

Love the signature ceridwen...........sort of puts things in perspective when you read something like that.
Well, shan;t be doing much 'simplifying' today...........least don't think so. One lads at school (as he should be) the other who should be at work isn't as he overslept and now he's trying to tell me he has to provide allan keys, spanners, a tool box etc.. for a factory job he's done for less that a week ! Nothing in any on the paperwork from the factory about having to supply anything at all so think I'm being 'conned' here...................lol If he was at work today he wouldn't be able to go and buy these things anyway..........just seems very convenient that he's taken the day off and now is asking for money..................lol
I could give it to him and demand receipts -which I'd want anyway - but because I questioned him he's now gone off in a huff:eek: Makes me all the more suspicious....................lolMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Simplified here today by going to the library to get books. I used to buy a lot but have given loads to charity shops over the past few months and have another charity bag through the door so will look out some stuff for Saturday. I picked up my ordered book Moosewood Kitchen Simple Suppers (or something) and it looks v good. Another 2 books have yet to come into my library - both are on simple living.
