Have manages to throw 11 items/things from my conservatory so far today, so still have another 16 to find.
Nice blog as well viv:D I loved the baskets from morrisons, and i am thinking about watching attonement as well.

I'm one of those people who can always feed people who arrive with no notice. I've always got the makings of a meal for at least 6 people and keep a tin with biscuits for doling out with tea and coffee. It makes me feel guilty if I can't offer people a meal and/or a snack. I'd love to be like one of my friends who always says that if you want a biscuit or cake at her house, you'd better bring it with you. That's a simplistic attitude that I just can't copy.
Me too i seem to be able to feed the legion, and thanks to old style have baked a raft of goodies which will last for about two days after dd and ds have invited friends over:o

Thanks for the comment.........Atonement is definitely worth watching
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • Have just watched clips on oscars run up so definately will. Have also made a list for decluttering tomorrow, including my backlog of work-ho hum, so have plenty to go at- but it will free my mind up a bit.

Well fate has intervened to force me to sort out my books once and for all. At 5am my bookshelves collapsed and hundreds of books came thudding to the floor around my bed. Almost had a heart attack! My bedroom is just strewn with books now so will spend the day sorting into piles of what to keep and what to freecycle/flog to the 2nd hand bookshop. OH is at work today so an opportunity arises to chuck stuff while he's not here to notice. ;)

Morning all ! Just had to post to say that I started reading Affluenza by Oliver James last night and I heartily recommend it. He discusses how we are brainwashed as E Scrooge mentions above. I borrowed my copy from the local library.

I walked to a dental appointment this morning instead of taking my car. This had the following benefits:

    1 - I got some exercise
    2 - I saved £1.50 parking fee
3 - I bought a "magic" colouring in book for DGS with the £1.50 (2p change for his piggy bank)

I feel I'm getting the hang of this simple lifestyle.
