No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries - April

Hello everyone, hope everyone had a good weekend.
I sold a Mini Laura Geller Honey Swirl highlighter recently. TA a very old body brush and replaced with a new one from TBS.
UU - V05 Give me Moisture Shampoo. I used to swear by this but it doesn't give me the sleekness I am after anymore.
Liz Earle Instant Skin Boost Tonic - is a staple for me. I really love the scent and the feel of it on the skin. WBA.ally.3 -
uuSuperdrug Vitamin E Body Cream with Hibiscus - this felt nice to use and smelt lovely and initially I loved it but I've found my skin quite dry the following day. I have a pot of the intensive Vitamin E to try soon but I 'm not sure I woud buy this one again.ins3 x No7 foundation - I use 2 colours and was running low on one colour so I bought 3 (I use more of this one than the other).I was going to buy something else in Boots that I'd seen online on offer at £11.99 but it was full price instore. When I got home I checked online and it turns out that the foundations are £2 a tube cheaper online. I've emailed Boots about how disgusted I am and that I won't be shopping there anymore. When I say this I mean it too, I haven't bought from Amazon for over 7 years.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Essence Matt finishing powder. It was pretty good. I had hit pan! Then I made the mistake of tapping the brush against the side of the container, the powder cracked and it fell into the sink in a million pieces.
Live and learn. I like a few Essence items, good value for money. I'm fussy though if it's made in China it doesn't come home. Have had good luck with their Polish and Italian products.
Clinique Moisture Surge. GWP size jar. It goes a long way and it good all winter. My face doesn't feel sore when it hits -402 -
That's ridiculous @dolly84 with the different prices online compared to in-store! I'm angry for you! I must admit I find myself buying more in Superdrug than Boots recently as the prices seem better and they have a bigger selection for some things.
Have a few UU's from the weekend too:
Lush Power Conditioner: this was one of the massive tubs and lasted a very long time. I like the scent and texture of this and that it doesn't have any silicone. However have a fair few mini's and such to work through so won't be repurchasing yet.
Wild deodorant refill: like these, have been using for a few years now and they last a while. Have replaced with another one from the stash.
Bayliss & Harding mini bubble bath: yet another mini from the advent calendar. Have another 5 of these to go.
Boots Cucumber sheet mask: really liked this, wasn't too flimsy and left my skin feeling very hydrated and cooled. Can't seem to find the exact same one online anymore as would like a few for our summer holiday coming up but will check in store.
Rare Beauty primer and foundation samples: had these as some free samples with a Space NK order a while ago and actually really liked the foundation. It's very lightweight on the skin and did last most of the day. May investigate further when I've used up the other foundations I have.
Have a few more things spluttering and nearing the end (the blush I'm using at the moment has crumbled so shouldn't be long till that's gone) so may have a few more UU's before the end of the month.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20173 -
2 INS. It looks like there are stock problems with Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue again. I bought 2 x 15ml tubes from Look Fantastic as they were on offer and had my shade. I may try the Rare Beauty one if I can't repurchase BM when I've used these.

Another UU. The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA moisturiser. This was ok. Used it as nightcream but needed a serum or oil to boost it. I got this in a Boots sub box so glad I got to try it this way rather than having bought it myself.Next one to try is a sample of Too Faced Pillow Cream.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Boots responded to my email about their pricing in store and online. They said that Boots.com and the high street stores are run independently of each other and will have different pricing. Not good enough for me so they have been put on my boycott list.

Any favourites this month?I've loved the following:-The Dalchemy Facial Repair Oil. It's too expensive to purchase though. £53.00 for 30ml which lasted me a month!Essie base and top coats that I bought in a kit from Boots. My manicures are lasting longer due to these two products.Rituals Good Fortune shower gel and body lotion.Chloe Nomade Jasmine perfume and Hugo Boss Scent for Her.Eucerin eye cream. I got this in a Boots sub box.I've liked the Bare Minerals Retinol skincare and I did like the Bobbi Brown face base although it did not act as a primer as everyone says it does. I may repurchase these products when the time comes. I suppose it will depend on offers at the time. The only things that I can think that I haven't like really are The Ordinary moisturiser and I have a sample of Acqua di Palma fragrance that I keep trying to use as room spray but don't even like it for that.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
