I am sailing home already! passing all the little white houses along the shoreline. It hammered down all night long, so we hardly got any sleep in the loft bedroom we were in. l should get home about 9pm.I am feeling good, and motivated, and happy.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Good morning and a belated happy easter everybody. I am grateful for a lovely club run this morning and for just managing to shave £16 or my 3 V1rgin M0bile plans, so back to £20 a month for 12-20 GB of data each and good for EU countries. So that is one box ticked for the year. Apart from that I am having a very emotionally mixed time. Grateful to have some alone time, but also a bit challenged, as I'm not always the most fun company! Thrifty I hope you have a great trip to Norway.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Afternoon turtles
Didn't post yesterday but it was a NSD. Went to see my share pony first thing, took it easy as I overdid it on Saturday with pilates, gym workout and a walk so I was quite achey. Took OH with me and we had a few running/trotting races. We also successfully navigated a very scary kite!
Just did some jobs in the house yesterday afternoon and then watched TV.
Today I was due to walk my friend's dog but it was hammering it down this morning so she cancelled (he's and old boy and has always hated rain!). I took OH for brunch at a nice local pub, my treat as he usually buys takeaway so it was definitely my turn. Did a pilates workout on my app and then dyed my hair and eyelashes. A few other little jobs have been done. I also ordered some new socks as mine always seem to disappear.6 -
I've built half a wall (only two rows of cobbles) but I did have to dig out a fern and dig a trench - I think I'm down to the coal layer, it was very gritty. I wore rubber builders' gloves so a lot of it was digging in with my hands to mix it and then throwing it onto the trench and squidging it between cobbles. Can't do any more until I can have more sand and cement delivered - I had 3 x 10 kg bags but the one that's been outside the bag of cement was solid.
My old jumper and leggings have been left in the kitchen as both had stuff on them and I came upstairs to thoroughly scrub my hands and fingernails. It's been wet cold and raining solidly for most of the day so I just took advantage of a break in the weather.
Grateful for still being able to mix, using the things we have (I may need a new garden trowel as I used mum's old trowel to mix) - I mixed it in a metal framed kitchen drawer that didn't get used 19 years ago, mis-matched gloves (one left by the men who did the soil stack), worn my old nightie with the bleach stain, leggings with blue paint and my baggy old jumper. Very grateful to be back on my bed with food.5 -
Today I am grateful for seeing several friends for quick chats at the gym, for liddle still having some hot X buns for DH, for the rain stopping and a chance to give the back lawn its first mow of the year, for the ludicrous excitement I have at going to ikea tomorrow (!!!!)

Today was NSD 5 and its been very productive, I have painted, gardened, ridden and caught up with some people. The housework has unfortunately been ignored while other things happen, but there are only so many hours on a day!
Tomorrow will be more of the same, but DD is at a sports training day so less requirement to also keep a child entertained while I get on with my mammoth to-do list!
I really need the weather to improve- the sun has been out today but its so windy, working outside for long is not enjoyable.7 -
Thanks @ditty1234, I had an amazing time! Sending you a hug, as it sounds like you need one.
Woke to the of rain. Was good to have my hot blackcurrant first thing, after a week without it. Not being s tea of coffee drinker, this is what starts my day! DH brought the cases in from the car, I unpacked ours, then wrote the big monthly shopping list. Dropped the cases back at my friend's, a book to someone else, then collected mum & we went shopping. L1dl only had the potatoes still at the Easter price, but T0sco had other veg, so stocked up on a few bags, wrapped them in newspaper & hung the bag in the back porch.
It'd brightened up nicely but then the heavens opened & mum got drenched! Took me a while to put it all away, then found all the things I need to start on my latch hook rug. Cut some strands of wool in preparation. After tea, I went a 3 mile walk, then started to make the rug. Dropped my car off at the garage, ready for new tyres, etc tomorrow.
Grateful for starting a new project, going for a walk, DH lighting a fire tonight, my cosy jumper (knitted by my Norwegian friend, she gave DH a jumper too)Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning turtles
no NSD for me yesterday as I paid for my gym classes. Bf and I dismayed as how we completely trashed the food budget yet again. If it doesn’t balance out next week we will have to reevaluate what we are doing. We went to report what happened to the police. I would rather have spoken to the guy but we couldn’t find him (and it’s not certain he lives in the building) I felt a bit pressured into it by my landlord and the community president but overall I have to trust the system I guess.A quiet but steady work day. My hoop class got cancelled which I was secretly pleased about. I’m not sure why I continue to force myself to go - i can’t decide if it’s fun or pure torture (at least torture wouldn’t be so expensive) Does anyone else feel like this about their hobbies?!Grateful for liking my job, for lots of things to look forward to, for another reasonable night’s sleep.Student loan £5655
