Forecast up to April 2021 is £162.50 a week in sep 2027.

£185.15 a week is the maximum I could get if I paid the extra.

If you can post up exactly what it says here then people will be able to help.
    I'm unfamiliar with exactly what a paper forecast looks like but hopefully it it should have the following information;

    • What amount you are forecast to get
    • What amount you have accrued up to April 2022
    • How many years going forward are still available until you reach state Pension age
    • Whether there are any gaps in your NI record available to fill
    • What years are not full
    • How many full NI years you have prior to April 2016
    • How many full years NI years you have after April 2016
    • Is there is a COPE figure mentioned and if so what is it

That's what I've got so far.
Forecast says I'd get the higher figure if I paid 5  years more.

So you have no idea of where there are gaps or how much they cost to fill ?  To get a NI statement you need to contact the HMRC number you call to get a payment reference. 0300 200 3500 https://www.gov.uk/check-national-insurance-record
Unfortunately the system is geared around doing it all on line though GG.
From the figure you quoted 4 years will get you to £183.66 and the 5th adding £1.49.

I have a rough idea , I was told in the past it's about £3000.They can send things through the post that's why it's important for me to get the correct address to register my interest that I want to pay it. That's my priority I think. I have tried endless times to try to get my ID accepted but it just won't accept it. Believe me I've tried.and like everyone else I'm calling non stop.

Is it impossible for you to get an on line statement here?

Unfortunately a rough idea is of no use.  5 years at full price will cost around £4K but you need the statement to see if there are any part filled years to buy cheaply.  There is no way round this I am afraid as a paper application could take months. The price of full years is 2019-20 and earlier £824.20, 2020-21 is £795.60, 2021-22 is £800.80 and 2022-23 is £824.20 so if you know which of those definitely have no credits then you could simply send off a cheque.  Are you receiving any form of benefits ?  Is that forecast really up to April 2021 ?

How old are you? Are you accruing NI credits through work or benefits now?

No point paying for years you’ll get anyway.
