That's not number 6. In fact, the bookies are not even on Hawley St. Number 6 is a semi detached bungalow a couple of doors down. Looks like a housing association age restricted property judging by the cheap but functional metal handrails.I don't really know why these sites choose random residential addresses for their veneers of authenticity when they could use an actual office building and be more believable.2 -
Because they aren't very bright, but it's good enough to get past some purchasers.outtatune said:I don't really know why these sites choose random residential addresses for their veneers of authenticity when they could use an actual office building and be more believable.

How many people check out the business address given before they buy?lisyloo said:

If I'm buying from a company I've not used before, I check everything out.sheramber said:

The 'about us', 'shipping/delivery' and 'returns' pages often tell you a lot about the company.
From their website:While we sell products to maintain a clean and orderly home environment, we also make clean and orderly the team's operating philosophy. Whether Joytidy is purchasing, selling, or after-sales, people with a strong sense of responsibility are responsible.
Does that make sense? Not to me.
The continual reference to GMT would have made me suspicious.
The 'Home' page refers to a 'tidy home'Maintaining an orderly lifestyle can help people stay in good situation, but it's not easy to do. Joytidy is here to offer practical tools that help you build a tidy home with joy. If you want to know more about us, please click the button.
but they sell all sorts of stuff. At Joytidy, you can find a wide variety of cleaning tools that will make your cleaning work easier with less effort. You can also find storage boxes for everyday household items, etc. It is worth mentioning that some of the storage baskets we sell not only help you keep your home tidy, they are also pretty good decorations themselves. That would have made me suspicious.

I'm not expecting people to check the address, but I would expect someone to notice the difference between 3-5 days royal mail and 15-30 days e.g. China.sheramber said:

I would expect people generally to look at delivery timescales as usually people care about that.0 -
So do I but from the amount of complaints on here many do not.Pollycat said:

From the amount of complaints about not knowing it was not a UK company many do not.lisyloo said:

Do you know the brand?
How did you find them?
How amazing a deal do you think you are getting?
What red flags is the site raising?
How anal are you?
Personally, on this site I wouldnt have as there were too many red flags before even getting to checking the address.0 -
Rule of thumb used here is
Check T/C & Returns.
They are the 2 pages that are usually the giveaway, as many simply copy & paste from other sites. Returns page will have lack of any useful info as well.
