Had the misfortune to buy a pair of shoes from a website called Joytidy-com. Took about 4 weeks to arrive and they are not fit for purpose, never mind being far too small. The address on their website is in Rotherham, but when I asked them to supply a returns label, they said that I need to return them, at my expense, to their warehouse in Bangladesh. Oh, but because it was being refurbished there would be no one there to accept the delivery. They were prepared to give me 30% back and keep the shoes. And I should be kind to them because they are a startup company, and offer jobs to people with disabilities.
Well that's okay then!
I am running out of puff and fight. Do I have any rights for purchases supplied from India?
Thank you in anticipation

Thank you in anticipationThe address in Rotherham is a house, so they probably just used any old address and might not be connected to it in anyway.Only 4 reviews on google - all one star.Website was set up one year ago.Contact number is a mobile number that was also used on another webiste but has since shut down.I agree with this review of the website - It's dodgy. https://wisdomganga.com/joytidy/If you paid by debit card, might be worth contacting your bank and asking about a chargeback.

It looks like you are not alone https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/joytidy.com
Unfortunately lots of these sites can pop up, take people's money and then disappear again0 -
Suggest you amend the title, Bangladesh is a country in its own right and nothing to do with India.10

Why would they disclose they're in India when they aren't?3

Chargeback if you paid by debit or credit card may work.
My wife wanted to order from a site last, "wmshoes.uk", a quick check showed it to to be dodgy. No phone number, no address and site registered only 6 months ago. Nothing but 1 star reviews as well.0 -
You normally have to return the item to get a chargeback.1

This would raise red flags for me
