  • Apologies I had to send screenshots. Struggled to upload the actual documents.
  • Here’s the email from Imail

    It is indeed hybrid mail
A case of getting an answer from someone who doesnt know what they are talking about
    Move on
What a dreadfully arrogant response. Who are you?
The PCC itself has said they rejiggled raw Imail data to provide the document. The formatting of the certificate is appalling. Its clearly cut and pasted in a new document. Please do not tell me something is genuine unless you produced it and you still work there. Why on earth are you suggesting the person from Imail who responded doesn't know what they are talking about?

I think Grizebeck is correct that is not actually an official "certificate of postage" as such, it is actually confirmation from their Hybrid Mail System as it clearly states.
It clarifies that the actual mail will be posted on 17/02/2023 in this case second class by Royal Mail.
I don't think the Imail bod was actually getting your point it, and if you presented this in court as a fake it would be blown out as it is a computer record of the receipt of the cloud document from the PPC being received by Imail.
If this is your only defence I would think again, and you have admitted it was delivered within the time frame, I say this to be helpful not patronising FWIW :) .

It took 13 calendar days between leaving Imail's presmises to my letterbox. The guy from Imail has clearly said its not "an official document provided by us."
Do you think its acceptable that Wise Parking has taken Imail letterhead and cut and pasted data, so that the document looks like it was issued by Imail?

Telling me to "move on" is rude, patronising and arrogant. The words "move on" carry the connotation that I am dwelling on relying on this for something other reason.

I think that what they are saying, and I concur, that what you have is not likely to sway anything in your favour should this ever get to court. If you are insistent on taking the allegation of fraud/forgery further, it would be nothing to do with defending against any Claim, should it pan out that way.

You are, of course, free to confront the PPC with your allegation and if you feel so strongly about it, you could try ActionFraud which is where any police complaint would direct you, but I doubt it would go much further than that as it has not caused you any financial or personal data loss, Has it?

If you are contemplating initiating legal action over this, you would most likely be well advised to steer clear as the ramifications of getting it wrong could be extremely expensive. Just ask any lawyer...  >:)
