Big hugs. Complain in case it was a rogue TV bloke; inform the Police either way.

If you don't want to call 999, it would still be worth looking up the police in your tel directory, and giving them a call on their non-emergency number. It will probably go thro to a call centre and they will take down some notes, and then pass it over to your local station. But it will make you feel much better and they will have been informed so if this guy is doing the same to anyine else, then they may up the priority on it.
(((Hugs))) and sleep well tonight. We're still here if you're scared later.

    Hi :)

    1. Dont answer the door if he comes back , or enter into any form of communication with him

    2. Dont give him any money

    3. He cannot get a " warrant" without a court order , and the Tv liscencing would not do this without you 1st being notified , ( this can take several weeks, and letters of ccommunication )

4.If he comes back do as the other posters have said, and call the police, ( shouting in the street and making the issue public to your neighbours, is harrasment , and collections officers for any company , are governed by strict rule, so are NOT allowed to do this )

5.Contact http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/ for Free impartial advice Or check out their website

    6. Contact TV Liscencing tommorrow, to find out if ther IS a Problem , though I doubt they would be sending an officer after just 1 missed payment

    7. If your really worried " log" his call with the police tonight He cannot enter your premises or take your goods

Please Please please , Dont take any crap of this Bully .. Its NOT worth the stress

    Good luck x

i did tell him i was going to phone the police but to be honest i wasn't sure they would even bother with something like this plus you never know whether you'd call 999 or if its not really an emergency. my friend had her £40,000 car smashed up last week by yobs and the police wouldn't even come

what a world we live in eah

I should tell you you are wrong! You should call 999 in a case like this. You feared for yours and your childrens safety, especially seeing as the male was there for some time, and being aggressive a suspect on scene would mean the police would be right there. Your friends car probably didn't evoke such a reaction becuase it was criminal damage with no suspects on scene.

As for the use of 999? If you think you need immediate help, dial it. The operator will decide if its an emergency or not.

  • is there a family member, or friend, preferably male who is very nearby so that you can call him and get him round quickly if this guy shows up again? Just having someone on hand who is not intimidated might help you. I am not suggesting violence here, but often the bullying and intimidating individuals will back down if someone stands up to them, and I am pretty sure the police will want to speak to him - tell him to leave his office address and business card on your door step (what ever you do, don't open your door to this guy), then if he does, just pass it on to the boys (and girls) in blue and let them do the rest.... Cheer up, this guy can only rant and rave, he can't harm you or your children

  • oops, posted twice there, sorry:D
  • Oh god how horrible! Definately complain and if he comes back again call 999. It's not worth your or your children being at risk..
