  • Also they mentioned  in writing that matching slabs would be provided and they never said it would be approximately matching .
  • Have you gone back to Citizens Advice to discuss the situation with them as they advised?
Yes now following their advice . This forum answers point to the answers from the landscapers trying to mislead us.
Your points were valid, thank you, will let all of you know the outcome . Even if it’s months of agony we are going to fight.
  • I would get further opinions on the state of your current patio, before putting down another £2000 to have it fixed. For all you know, the patio might be fine, and the new landscaper is trying to take you for another two grand. I would love to know how your new landscaper intends to find new slabs that match the colour of your aged slabs. If I were you, I would at the very least, view the slabs before agreeing to anything.

  • Do make sure you have a very good case if you do decide to proceed further.
If the original landscaper has to come back to fix the things you say are wrong then don't expect to get any momey back but hopefully you will have a patio that drains water away.

I doubt very much whether you will get slabs that are any closer in colour to the originals.

    Good luck.

Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

Thank you! But new landscaper showed us the same colour slabs online.

You need to bear in mind here that you’re not entitled to a full refund. You’re entitled to whatever it will cost to rectify the issues. Honestly, I think you’ll struggle.

Yes we know that so not planning to do any work immediately but will fight with the old landscaper and see where this is going to end. As it’s going to be summer soon, rain and other issues will be minimal but in long run we would have to get it fixed. So we are planning to fight till the last option with the old landscaper and saw in google that many such cases won.

Our aim is to get it fixed as we can’t spend more money on this.

You have seen cases against this landscaper?

It does all go back to what you asked for and what was supplied.  This, unless it is all specified in writing, can make winning your case tricky, not impossible but by no means guaranteed.

You do realise that if these ones shown to you match the colour of your old slabs, then it won't be long before they don't as they will also weather and fade.
