Loud dogs next door, would you buy?

Viewing on a property this week and happened to engage with the neighbours who has 2 very loud regular barking rescue dogs.
Would you buy the attached house knowing this? Added a lot of doubt to our plans.
Always find comparables. You can ask, but you won’t always get what you want.
House prices are now falling as they were in 2008… A correction is happening - Jan 2023

Nope "regular barking" is a bit vague but taking it at face value it suggests ongoing throughout the day
Unless you like being woke by barking dogs, beng disturbed everytime something sets them off etc
And don't forget when one starts the other may follow and they just egg each other on.

From our eyes and ears they seem over excited and nervous. It’s a shame as we intended to continue to proceed with this property.Always find comparables. You can ask, but you won’t always get what you want.

Depends on what's causing them to bark. If they're only barking because they can see/hear/smell you then that'll likely stop and wouldn't put me off. However if they're trapped in the house/garden all day while the people are out at work, then absolutely no way pedro. You couldn't pay me to live next to that.
What happened to the other house that you were all set to move into this summer?I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.0 -
A thousand times no. As someone who lived next to a dog that barked throughout the day (and occasionally overnight), it was miserable. I learned their 'patterns' and began living in expectation of the barking. Like waking up at 6.30am every weekend as I knew the barking would begin from 7am, or bracing anytime someone walked in front of the house. I couldn't get used to it.
Obviously your own tolerance to the noise, the dogs' individual behaviour and how effective your house's soundproofing is will all make a difference. But I personally wouldn't purchase a property with that knowledge.0 -
It would depend why they were barking and for how long.
Is the owner taking ay action when they do bark?
Since the EA is a stranger then it is natural that the dogs would bark if they were aware of him.
It depends how much it affects you, As you are asking you obviously feel it would advresley affect you.

Nope, no, nein, 100% wouldn't entertain it
(Parents live next to someone who 'boards' dogs and that little nightmare may have skewed my opinion)Aim:12mth Emergency Fund -> £14264/£17076 (83%) Aim 2: Mortgage Overpayment -> Paused until other aim fulfilled.0
