Fingers crossed the probate comes through from seller I’m buying from soon. They applied October 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Have you checked if  your seller has escalated their application which is essential?  If not, they need to do it ASAP.  I'm increasingly convinced that my application was finally processed because of my MP chasing the probate office on my behalf.  Oglop also got his MP involved so that maybe another avenue for those waiting.

I’ve asked the solicitor and EA to ask these questions and had no reply, I’m due to chase again so will ask them to ask again

16 weeks ... and nobody has looked at my application yet :s
This is an online application for an excepted estate with a will produced and witnessed by a solicitor.
    Escalated "wait three weeks"

I think my seller is on around 26 weeks now! My solicitor has been told it’s due any day so fingers crossed this is true…I’m sceptical after reading this thread 🤦🏽‍♀️

Our seller got to 22weeks ish and had "escalated" for 3 wk wait twice now. We decided to pull out today due to uncertainty and house prices falling in the area! Ridicilous waiting times and I wish all the best to others in this never ending waiting game.....

I’ve been looking for other properties but nothing has come up so I’m no better off pulling out anyway

Out of the blue this morning ... probate approved! Two days after I contacted them. Just shy of 17 weeks since we applied.
Suspect I would have waited many months more if I had not chased.
  • Woohoo looks like sellers probate is now granted this week so now hopefully the house sale will proceed with no hiccups!

I'm delighted that those of you desperate for Probate to be granted are finally getting good news. Hopefully things can now progress nicely for you all.

I'm only at 7 weeks since they acknowledged receipt of the Will, but as a seller, it would be a weight off to get it sooner than later, as we have a buyer in a rental, with no chain - I'd hate to lose him because of this.
