  • I am interested in applying for the Goldfish card via quidco but my husband would need to put it in his name as I am a sahm. As the quidco account is in my name would this still be allowed ?

I think your husband would have to open his own quidco account.

    This page ( http://www.quidco.com/help/4/ ) says:
    3. Member Account Validity and Termination
Quidco only allows one account per person and it must be used only by that person.
  • i just rang to activate my card and got a fully automated service. it didnt confirm that the card was activated, was i supposed to speak to an adviser or have i done it just by entering my details?

I applied for the Goldfish card via Quidco earlier this week. It's tracking today at 0.00, does that mean the application has been approved or has anyone still been refused?

Don't lose heart from the above post. Often things will initially track on quidco as zero but then later the actual amount will replace the zero (which will happen if you are accepted for the card).

    Hi guys

Aside from the Quidco cashback, is this card actually any good? A balance transfer fee of 3%? I was thinking of transferring the money from my old Halifax card onto this one then closing my Halifax one down. Need to transfer AROUND £500.

    Greatful for any advice!

"The Goldfish credit card offers a hugely competitive typical 12.9% APR(variable) on purchases, plus 4.9% p.a. on balance transfers fixed for 3 years from the date you open your account. Balance transfer fee - 3% (minimum £3) * Cash advance rate 26.8% p.a. * No annual fee * Online account management tools * 24/7 UK based customer service. With a competitive standard rate and a balance transfer offer that gives you time to get your finances under control, unlike 0% credit cards, this is a low rate card built around managing your finances better. Plus, you could use the £41 cashback to offset that balance transfer fee, making it even more worthwhile."

I just happened to notice this £41 payout through quidco on their site then came on here once id done the sign up stuff.

Totally hope i get it! Dont want a credit card in the slightest but the £41 is something i dont want to miss.
  • Having seen this thread, I decided to apply. My quidco tracked twice 4 days later - once at 0, the other at £41. I received my PIN number from Goldfish the following day. Just waiting for the card now...didn't get anything else in writing from them...just the pin number. The date shown is the date it tracked - I applied on the 31st.

    Just incase you didn't know, i didn't,

goldfish are the same as Morgan Stanley, so if you already have a Morgan Stanley card they write to ask if you want to split your available credit over 2 cards or cancel one of the cards.

Guess this means if you continue to the goldfish card you won't have completed through Quidco so no £41....

and they have already done a credit check by time it gets to this point....

hope that is of help to someone....... no £41 for me then :-( decided to just stick with my Morgan Stanley Card....
