Yeah, some will give instant decisions! If you go to your email, Goldfish should have sent an email acknowledging your application with some info there on when you'll hear. (Of course, with Christmas, they might be delayed in processing and replying.)' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0

Thanks, the email has come through now. I don't normally get rejected so hopefully it will go through OK.0 -
Two months ago I opened a credit car account with Goldfish because of the long term benefit with exosting balances. I don't know anything about quidco, could someone be kind enough to explain it to me??
many thanks.0 -
Hey barron
Quidco is a consumer co-operative (www.quidco.com) to which consumers sign up in order to benefit from discounts when shopping online.
It's free to register. If you are going to buy, for example, something from M&S, instead of going straight to the M&S site, go to quidco, find M&S and use *their* link. What it does - in simple terms - is track what you have spent and then credit the discount to your Quidco account. (You can get the money you've 'made' from your quidco account by asking them to credit the money to your bank account.)
There are loads of different merchants (1502 as I type) - some are high street shops, some are specialist insurance providers, some are banks etc. They each apply different levels of discount. Some are percentages ("10% off every non-grocery transaction"), some are set amounts off ("£15 for each laptop purchased"). Others will actually offer money for signing up for trials or using their search engines, so you can get money for nothing!
Goldfish had an offer which was: if you go to the Goldfish site (via Quidco's link) and have an application approved, your Quidco account will be credited with £41. You can then cut up the card if you don't want to use it, once the £41 is in your pocket!
Quidco make their money by taking £5 off every registered account each year (assuming you make some money every year). If you don't get any money credited to your account because you haven't shopped through them, they don't take anything.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Kiki, that was just what I needed to know.0

I still haven't heard anything from Goldfish, and there certainly hasn't been £41 credited to my Quidco account. How long did it take for others to get their card (and have quidco track the money) from the point of application?
Thanks.

I too applied a few days ago for this offer thro' Quidco. I have received the confirmation email from Goldfish saying if I'm successful then will get the card thro' the post. Not tracking on Quidco yet....I hate paying INTEREST :T0 -
I applied a few days ago as well and got the email but its not tracked yet. If I attempt to raise a ticket then it does register that I have applied for one so maybe they need to get the confirmation from Goldfish before its tracked.0

I applied on 20th December - and it tracked on Quidco today, so I'm assuming the card will be sent to me today. Hurrah!
Not that I have any intention of using the card...but the £41 is very nice.
