Creation IHG credit card

I had an IHG credit card issued by Creation until late 2021.
They decided to close my account without any explanation of why and refused to give me the IHG points I earned between the notice of closure and the account being closed.
Did they do that to anyone else here?
I complained to them about it, to no avail.
I then complained to the ombudsman, it took ages for them to deal with it but they have settled and given me the points they owe me.

Thread full of people in a similar position on Head for Points: https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/creation-bashing/Good on you for complaining, the way Creation treated their customers was beyond poor.

In 4 years of holding a Creation account (Currys My Plan - which for some weird reason is classed as a credit card on my reports), I've only had good experiences. Although my parents cannot day otherwise, since they had their premium IHG cards closed at the start of the pandemic without explanation.(Removed by Forum Team)
Curiously, J was close to apply for the classic ihg card, before they closed applications for it0 -

I had nothing but good experiences with Creation until they closed my account for no apparent reason (I didn't use Curve)
I work for a supermarket, I was getting friends and vulnerable people locally shopping in the pandemic. I think because I was spending loads on it they thought it was business use. It wasn't.0 -
Since the closure the way they have treated their customers is appalling.0

I had an account with them before that was closed too. An asda credit card but I believe that was asda not them.

The affinity arrangement with Asda ended - but they didn't bin off all their customers - in fact some were offered 1 or 2% cashback cards (on all spend!!). The dividing line appeared to be whether or not the customer had previously held a balance or always paid in full. If the latter, they weren't interested (no money to be made on non-affinity cards where people pay on time!).Daniel_John_Hurley said:I had an account with them before that was closed too. They didn't entirely bin me off they offered me a choice. Creation branded card with no cashback or close automatically if I didn't ask for it. I didn't ask for it, didn't see any point as I didn't need it.
If they offered customers that had paid interest a cashback card and others a non-cashback card I don't really blame them, that makes good business sense.
The way they've acted over the IHG card is contemptible though.2 -
On a side note, anyone else think it was weird that Creation let you pay off your credit card with another credit card.0
