Many people, myself included, are uncomfortable with unsolicited callers at the door and find it intrusive. Others don't think twice about it. We're all different and I think this is a case where we just have to understand and accept that.
Being Octopus, I'm sure this is well motivated and they will respond appropriately to customer feedback. But like some others here I personally think this is inappropriate and it has the effect of putting me off Octopus as a supplier rather than attracting me to them.
