Have set up a new ISA account based on links on this site. All seems normal but when I go to transfer money the account details are not matched. I have tried online and verbally with my bank. When I phoned Virgin Money they said they are not signed up to the payee matching scheme but it is making me nervous that this is legitimate. Grateful for any help. My bank has warned me to be careful

Yes confirmation of payee as a big organisation Virgin Money is part of Clydesdale Bank it seems strange

That's the best way.  I wanted to use my own choice of recipient name for identification purposes, of course it didn't match but the first £1 reached and all was fine.

If you do send a small payment, remember you did it, I think a few over subscribe from what I see on here. 🙂
