I don't believe an 'ordinary joe' would resort to creating an Android dual-boot, installing BlueStacks, flashing an Android ISO to USB, or even express their understanding of the problem using parlance such as the "transfer of format data" or "parameter passing" in webpages "written in HTML".
Nevertheless, perhaps avoid all Nordsec Ltd products in the future if you're displeased with their business practices considering they failed in their obligations to satisfactorily notify you of potential conflicts arising from enabling NordVPN's Threat Protection module (it's not enabled by default, so you had to have manually toggled the setting at some point).3 -

Most products nowadays have some form of helpful consumer advice or warning as to how to obtain the best from the product .or perhaps how to avoid poor results or avoid injury or loss when using it . . . surely the IT industry is not too haughty and esteemed to do this ? or is intellectual BDSM just too much fun ?

Bit of a belated response, but found this problem when I Googled for a problem I was having trying to make a payment from my Santander account . Been on to the Santander helpline several times but no good. The. I found the Nord “web protection” mentioned here. Turned out I also had this enabled (unknown to me - it appears to be and additional “benefit” of Nord VPN and is active even when VPN is not enabled. Once I found the option to pause it I. Ould make my Santander payment with no problem.
Belated thanks to the original poster.
I’ve raised it as an issue with Nord and will pursue with them.1 -
I've got full-fat paid-for Nord VPN and I can see no mention or switch for this troublesome web protection extra, what version are you running please and where should I be looking? Is it a separate program?0
