New storage heaters cost help

If it's on an E7 circuit and a 24 hour circuit it won't charge off the 24 hour circuit.
The charge times are visible in the heater.
Push the centre of the dial twice and then rotate the dial through the various settings

Does your e7 remain 1230 730 in bst too or does the dimplex timer stay gmt - or do you adjust ?
Or never use during bst (Mar to Oct) ?0 -
I'm dual wired. I can't recall if that's a setting or actual. I think it's actualOfficially in a clique of idiots1

Ah OK. Thought it might have been the 4 set zones.
Thanks.0 -
That's actual recorded. I've been into the advanced settings and the charge settings are at the default which for dual wired is 00:00 throughout.

Hi guys, thank you to everyone who has replied. It’s getting a bit technical for me
yes we have two feeds going to each unit. One that was there for the previous storage heaters and then a new feed for each. Think they will take a bit of getting use to as the old ones were either on or off! So old that we were either walking round in shorts and t-shirt or wrapped up! Need to go back through your replies and try and understand everything. They were only on for 2.5 hours this morning so !!!!!! all stored so should I set time for tonight at 00:30 - 8.30 and then we have times set throughout the day. I’m really not sure what to set them on as I still have the old mindset of the old heaters ie: Input say 4 and output 2 (turning output up during the day if we needed it)
thanks again, will update with tomorrow’s reading to see what is says..0 -

My night rate is around 15p per kwh so that heater cost £1.50 to charge up. I'll get heat from that for 14 hours today maintaining 20 - 21C in that room..1 -
Hi,do you know when your meter switches to cheap rate, you'll want to correspond with that.1

My understanding is that if your HHR NSH has both E7 and 24h circuits then you only need to tell it how warm you want to be and when. It will then do the sums, charging up (only from the E7 circuit) and blowing heat out as necessary. You may also wish to stop it using the automatic top up, especially if there is a wide difference between the E7 and day rates. No doubt users such as @EssexHebridean will be able to confirm !1

I will set the temp and when we want it accordingly. Let’s see how it goes. Thank you!
