Lebara & WiFi Calling

  • I have WiFi calling working on Lebara on a Moto G50 on Android 12 as follows:

    • in Settings-> Network & Internet -> SIM cards, move the slider to the left to disable the SIM
    • in the Phone app, where you'd normally enter a number to call someone enter *#*#4636#*#*
    • you should then get a menu, select Phone Information
    • the page displayed should have a Wi-Fi calling provisioned slider part way down which you can move to the right to enable
    • go back to Settings-> Network & Internet -> SIM cards and re-enable the SIM
    • use the *#*#4636#*#* code again to look in Phone Information to see if the Wi-Fi calling provisioned slider is still to the right.  If it is, then you probably have wi-fi calling enabled.

I find I have to follow these steps each time after an Android update as that re-sets Wi-Fi calling provisioned to off.

Hope that works for at least some people, I'm not sure how Moto specific it is.

Well would you believe it !!
This worked now on my Moto G50 !!
I did try the above sequence several months ago & it did not work.
It does now, & I now have wifi calling.
    Thank you Pinner_Boy.
I hope others that may have had no wifi calling read this result.

  • Mmmmm
I wonder if some changes have been made by Lebara that we don't know about ??

  • Still not working on Pixel 7.

Thanks for the hint.  I went through the steps and wifi calling provisioned slider is to the right but it is greyed out.  So does that mean not working?  I have Moto G32.

I believe the greyed out slider means it hasn't been enabled by the network.
  • Only those handsets listed through this link work with Wifi Calling on Vodafone and therefore Lebara:

My handset isn't listed but works perfectly with WiFi calling on Lebara.

My phone had the option but just never worked despite Lebara telling me it had been enabled, I dug around and had the greyed out slider, then few months later I had a software update - boom it worked.

These things especially on Lebara are a minefield!
  • Hi

Great thread!  I had the same issue with my G50 today, found this thread, and it worked.  Very pleased and thanks a million :)

    However...

My wife has a G8 Power and it is not working with that.  At step 4, the Wi-Fi calling provisioned slider is there.  But it's in the off position and won't move/slide.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks
  • I have found a link on Reddit that provides a route to manually enable WiFi calling and VOLTE calling on Lebara and I found it works on my Pixel 6 phone.

You basically have to download two apps and open up developer settings on your phone.

I am now enjoying much better reception when I'm out and also I have WiFi calling.

    I hope this helps.
